The paddock

Sophie had just finished working for the day interviewing the top 3 drivers of the qualifying, Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso. Sophie hoped Lando would be in the top three so she could interview him again but to no luck he qualified 4th. Sophie didn't want to head home for the day just yet so she spent her time scrolling through instagram and twitter to see multiple news articles about her and Lando. Why were people saying that they were getting together. Yes Sophie found Lando attractive but who doesn't so that doesn't mean she actually fancies him or does it. It's all very confusing for Sophie as she tries to navigate this situation. Anyway Lando definitely doesn't wouldn't her back if she did like him as he has a reputation for being a player. The F1 boy has always been pictured with random girls he meets time to time so is Sophie just another one of these girls or is it just friendship. Does he feel sorry for her as she doesn't have any friends in f1 yet. These were all thoughts running through Sophie's mind as she aimlessly scrolled through her phone.

Sophie already had quite a large online following because of her influencing through instagram, TikTok and youtube but nothing could compare to the rapid rate her followers have been going up in the last few days. It's all just a bit overwhelming for Sophie but she knows this is the career that she's been building up to her whole life. When Sophie was 16 years old she lost her Dad in a car accident which affected her deeply. Her dad always used to make Sophie watch the Grand Prix every weekend with him so through that she developed a love for the sport. Since that moment Sophie has made it her life goal to work in F1 in any capacity using her influencing as a stepping stone to help her reach success.

Lando's POV
I had just finished my first qualifying session of the season gaining 4th position which I was really happy with however that meant I had just missed out on getting to talk to Sophie. I headed straight to my drivers room after qualifying to get changed before I head to the catering block to get some food before I head back to the hotel to prepare for the race tomorrow. Once I got changed I started scrolling on twitter to see what all the fans had to say about qualifying however my twitter was bombarded with tweets about Sophie and I. I don't understand what's going on it's not like we have done something to fuel these rumours.

This morning I woke up feeling the happiest I have in a while. I have always been a lover boy but I never have the time to keep anything special so I result in fleeting romances and one night stands but that doesn't fill the void I'm missing in my life. But last night when Sophie was sleeping on my lap I felt completely at peace. It was amazing. However, now my mind is all over the place. What did this mean. Do I like Sophie. Does she like me?
