[Flashback]

"Sorry this is a little weird but, do you mind if I sit here?" A young looking lady with blue eyes and a bright smile asked the young man. He scanned the diner and shrugged as he noticed the area to be filled up quite fast.

"I'm Amanda. But you can call me Amy. Sorry I have a lot of paper work to get through." She said after she had sat down across from the man and flung through a stack of papers.

"I'm James. What's the paperwork for?" The man smiled at Amanda's attempt to create a conversation. He felt liveliness and warm as he looked into the woman's eyes. "I had a daughter a couple months ago. Her name is Sarah. As a single mother I've been trying my absolute best to get some sort of government funds for Sarah, just in case anything happens to me and she has to go to a foster home. At least she'll still have a healthy income." The man felt a sting when he heard that she had a daughter.

Sure she was a single mother, but a single mother had some sort of relationship to be a mother. And that hurt James. James always wanted to be the number one choice of everyone's. The number one friend. The number one employee. The number one lover.
