Few Months Later...

Madhukar's Pov

I was sitting on chair outside my house. Relaxing and having fresh air. I was reading newspaper. When one of my friends called me. Subhash Parab. He is my childhood friend we are living in this chawl since our birth.

Subhash : Are kay re Madhu kasa aahes?
(hey Madhu how are you?)

Madhukar : Ekdam first class. Tu kasa aahes Shubhya ?
( How are you Shubhya)

Subhash : Yaha kyun baithe ho ? chalo apne naake par Chai pike aate hai.

(why are you sitting here ? Come lets go on our spot and have some tea.)

We went at our Chai Corner.

Subhash : Do you remember, when we were in college and used to sit right here. Those days were something else. You know that Divya?

Madhukar : Divya?

Subhash : Divya , Are Divya Kane  who use to reject every boy and insult them in front of whole college. bhava (Bro) even I had a huge crush on her but I knew she will reject me.

Madhukar : So what?

Subhash : She got married to a guy who is of her father's age.

Madhukar : What? But why?

Subhash : Paisa bolta hai bhai.

Madhukar : Ohh. Leave them. Let them mind there own business. Just tell me where were you for so many days?

Subhash : I told Sulakshana Vahini (sister in law) that I'm going to Kankavli. Didn't she told you?

Madhukar: I think she forgot because of work

Subhash :  Hey are you Coming today?

Madhukar : where?

Subhash : No one is there at my home. My wife is out of town. Let's have drinks 🍻🍻

Madhukar : Sorry, but I can't Sulu will not like it.

Subhash : Aree who is going to tell Vahini. I'll tell her to send you at my house just for a night.

Madhukar : But she doesn't have habit of sleeping alone. As aai is also not there.

Subhash : I'll convince her don't worry. And you know not only us but Joshi, Satam, Bhoir, Patil are also coming

Madhukar : Joshi!!!  You mean Joshi Kaka (uncle). Who only listens to bhajans day night. I don't think he'll come

Subhash : Will you belive that this party's idea was his

Madhukar : What!!!!

Subhash : Be ready at 8.00 I'll come at your home.

Madhukar's Pov

I was just walking back and forth waiting for Shubhya. Why didn't he came yet. Murkha (Idiot) Even I want to drink it's been so many months that I didn't drink because of Sulu. What will she think about me. My thoughts were cut off by knock on my door. Here comes Shubhya.

Sulakshana was busy in her house work and it didn't took much time to convince her. I was feeling guilty that I lied her. But I was also happy that after so many days we friends will reunite.

We went at Subhash room which was on 2nd floor where as mine was at 1st floor. When we went there everyone was present there. Except Joshi Kaka

Madhukar : See I told you Joshi Kaka will not come. He is very religious person.

That's when Joshi Kaka entered inside room with Bottles of Alcohol and some snacks. Making me totally shock

Madhukar : Joshi Kaka! Tumhi pan ?

Joshi Kaka : Are zindagi mein Piya nahi toh kya Jiya. Sala 1 ghut bhi agar piyo toh bhul jaata hu sare gam. Just tell me baby what you want Whiskey or Rum ?

Madhukar got choked by seeing this side of Joshi Kaka.

One after another they all started to drink. We all were almost drunk.

Joshi kaka stopped for a minute and went to hide behind the door and Boom 💥 the door was opened with a loud thud. And there was angry Joshi kaki 

Joshi Kaki : Aho Kuthe Gelaat tumhi? Baher Nigha. Kuthe laplaat huh?
(Where are you ? Come out. Where are you hiding huh?)

We all were amazed by seeing terrified Joshi kaka hiding behind door and signalling us to keep quite. Joshi kaki just pulled the door and took the broom.

Joshi kaki started running behind Joshi kaka and he started running as if his wife will kill him.

Everyone was laughing but my gaze went near door and the glass in my hand dropped down. A thick layered sweat was over my forehead my heartbeat rose I knew what will happen next.
