"Ladies and gentlemen," Emma started talking, holding the envelope with the winner's name in it, "it's an honour for us to be able to stand on this stage tonight to give this important award to the best leading actress in a sci-fi/ fantasy film." She passed the envelope to Dan, who carefully opened it and read the actress' name out loud: "and the Bafta goes to... Jennifer Lawrence for Hunger Games: Mockingjay part one!"

A loud cheer exploded in the room as the main camera framed her to register her reaction, which was pure bliss.

"I knew she would win. She is extraordinary," Bianca commented as she peacefully sipped her Coca-Cola.

"I completely agree with you," Florence added, "initially, she was the reason I watched the Hunger Games. She deserves this."

They followed as Jennifer walked up in her magnificent red strapless dress until she got on the stage where Rupert handed her the prize after they shared a quick hug.

"Usually, I would have to deliver a speech saying how much I'm grateful for winning this award and how much I thank my family and friend... but I think that a dear friend of mine needs to tell someone something more important than that." Jennifer turned around with a sweet smile, gesturing Emma to reach her at the microphone.

Bianca and Florence glanced at each other utterly bewildered by what was going on. "Did you know anything about this?" The shorter girl asked as she cut another piece of her pizza.

Florence violently shook her head, this time being as clueless as her friend. "I have no idea, but I guess we will find out soon what Jennifer is up to."

Bianca nodded, still staring perplexed the television. "Maybe she will officially announce her engagement." That was the only plausible thing which could explain why would Emma needs to speak in front of the whole world.

Anyway, her theories were soon shut down when the blonde started talking before leaving her place to Emma, who apparently might have appeared relaxed, but Bianca knew exactly how anxious she was feeling. She used to cross her arms behind her back while playing with her fingers whenever she felt under pressure. It was a not so usual behaviour to show nervousness, and that was why almost nobody understood when Emma was pretending to be calm but was feeling hell inside her. However, Bianca knew. They knew each other like the palm of their hands.

"You see, Emma and I haven't known for a very long time, but despite that, she is one of the closest friends I have. We met a year and a half ago at the Golden Globe," Jennifer smiled softly at the memories, glancing at the shorter girl who was standing next to her, "she was crying like a baby because of a girl, Bianca, her first love." The crowd gasped, wanting to know where the actress was trying to say.

At home, Bianca had temporarily stopped breathing, holding tight on Florence's hands. "I think you all know who I'm referring to, but I had the pleasure to meet her in person this year, and she is truly a sweetie. Speaking of which, I hope you're enjoying the show, Bia," she greeted her, looking straight at the camera.

Actually, Bianca was in a state of trance, still having to figure out whether this was all a dream or not. "Emma told me only a few stories about their past relationships, but just from them, I can assure you that they had the love story we see in the movies. They shared the kind of love that makes you feel at your best, and that breaks you down when you lose it. And you see, personally, I don't think I've ever met someone who loved the other so deeply, like these two did. They are the definition of true, unconditional love. Jesus, guys, Bianca has waited for Emma for seven years, while she watched her going on with her life convinced that she was long forgotten by her. And despite that, I believe that her little heart still skips a beat when she sees Emma."
