[Pau's POV]

I watched from the half way line as Gundogan took our corner, and curled it into the box, but it fell to Diego, the goalkeeper, who caught it. He spotted the run of one of the female players, I recognise her, so she must be one of the new signings. But she was really fast, and was now through on goal with none of her teammates and mine, near by. It was an good old-fashioned 1v1.

When she was close enough, I charge and slid in for the ball with force.

It was so stupid of me to do that.

It was just a training session game.

Why did I put in such a tackle? Especially a late one!

I regret it. I really do.

I guess it was a defenders natural instinct, but why didn't I wait for her to mess up in her dribbling and then I could have intervened?

I didn't mean to hurt her, I swear.

Seeing her on the floor, with tears in her eyes, screaming in pain, made me want to die. And not to mention that I had bent her ankle 90 degrees out of proportion! I bet she hates me, I wouldn't blame her if she did.

"¡Oh, Dios mío, lo siento mucho, fue un accidente! (Oh my God, I'm so sorry, it was an accident!)" I exclaimed as I knelt beside her, with my head in my hands.

"¡Tu cabron! ¿por qué pondrías un reto peligroso como ese en el entrenamiento? ¡Gracias a ti estaré lesionado durante meses! (You bastard, why would you put a dangerous challenge like that in training? Thanks to you I'll be injured for months!)" She cried in agony.

Finally the ambulance came, and stretchered her in.

I watched as the paramedics shut the door, and the vehicle drove off out of my view.

"Bueno, creo que ese es el final de la sesión de entrenamiento de hoy. (Well, I think that's the end of today's training session.)" Xavi announced, as everyone followed him back inside.

After getting back to the changing rooms, I felt everyone's eyes staring at me. No one dared to say a word, neither did I.  I gathered my belongings and waited for Marc. All I want to do is get out of here and make sure she's okay, but I had to wait, as Marc usually gives me lifts to and from training. Hopefully he'll understand the situation and take me to the hospital.

Eventually he came out with Héctor and we made our way out. They conversed between themselves, whilst I walked in silence. Once Héctor left us, everything was awkward, until I got the courage to ask him as we got in the car.  "¿Podrías llevarme al hospital por favor? (Could you take me to the hospital please?)"

He hesitated and looked over at me, "Déjame adivinar, ¿es porque quieres ver Y/n? (Let me guess, is it because you want to see Y/n?)"

Y/n? She's Y/n, the wonderkid from Seville that FC Barca Femení were lucky enough to sign this season. Shit! I really fucked up her first season here!

"Sí, por favor. (Yes, please.)" I nodded, "Realmente necesito verla y asegurarme de que esté bien. (I really need to see her and make sure she's okay.)

He smiled, "Entiendo. (I understand)

"Gracias Marc.(Thank you Marc.)" I crooned, looking out of the passenger-side window.

"Pau?" He uttered, making me look over in his direction. "Creo que estás enamorado. (I think you're in love.)"
