Newt ran out of the Council Hall in the morning and looked around. But Wren wasn't there. The only trace of her existence, was the bandage she had around her ankle laying on the grass. A few splashes of her blood on it.

"Newt, did you find her?" Thomas ran over

"No." Newt stood up, holding the bandage on his hand. His grip tightened on the bloody bandage as Minho walked out the Council Hall and Gally walked over.

"Newt, I'm sorry." Minho stepped over to him

"What happened?" Gally asked

"Wren's gone." Newt mumbled, his hands dropping to his sides

Minho looked around at everyone then hugged Newt.

"Newt, I'm sorry." Teresa walked over

Chuck walked out the Council Hall with the others. "Where's Wren?" Chuck asked, "Is she okay?"

"She's gone." Newt mumbled

Wren shot up from the bed she found herself in, but immediately regretted the movement. She grasped at her stomach and leaned back against the pillows. But moving her arm tugged on some sort of wire that was pulsing blood into her arm.

"What the?" Wren mumbled and pulled it off her arm.

In the room, there was a few medical equipments that were hooked up together and aimed at Wren. The walls were white, the floor was marble, a camera was in the corner of the room by the door.

Wren stood up and grasped at her stomach. She limped over to the door and opened it to reveal a hallway. A man walked through the hallway and over to Wren. He had black and grey hair, and a beard.

"Where am I?" Wren asked

"You're safe, away from the Maze." The man told her, flipping over a paper on the clipboard he was holding.

"What about everyone else?" She asked

"You shouldn't worry about that now. I'm here to help you." The man smiled at her

"Help me?" She repeated

"Yes. We're going to go through some tests to help you get your memory back." The man told her

"Who are you?"

"I'm Janson." He said, "Now, if you'll follow me this way for your first test."

Wren followed the man down the hallway, limping behind him. The two arrived in a room that looked like the way hospital rooms normally looked- or, the way Wren imagined a hospital room to look like.

"Sit down on the chair." Janson told her

She sat down on the chair in the middle of the room as a curly black haired woman walked into the room.

"Ah, Dr Crawford. This is Wren." Janson smiled at the woman and handed her the clipboard

"What's her situation?" Dr Crawford asked, looking at the paper on the clipboard

"Sprained ankle and bruised rib." Janson replied, "She's just woken up."

"Leave her with me then." Dr Crawford smiled

"I've written down a note for what I want you to do as well." Janson whispered to her then walked out the room.

Dr Crawford put down the clipboard and walked over to Wren. She sat down on the stool beside the chair and pulled out a needle.

"What's that?" Wren leaned away

"All the vitamins you've lacked out in the Maze." Dr Crawford told her

Wren moved her arm back into position and Dr Crawford injected the substance into Wren's forearm. Dr Crawford put down the needle and looked back at the clipboard.

Wren went through a few more tests with the Doctor then she was sent back to the room she woke up in. Janson walked into the room with a drink and a small case.

"What's that?" Wren asked, indicating to the case

"Something to help you sleep." Janson sat on the edge of the bed, "It'll also help you with your memories."

He opened the case and pulled out some sort of strange AirPods. Wren allowed him to put them on her and they connected with a wire around the back of her head. Janson clicked a button on the left one and a voice started talking to Wren through them.

"Drink this." Janson handed Wren the drink

"What's in it?" She asked, but took the drink anyway

"Just water." He said, then stood up, "Get some rest, Wren. And your memories will be back in no time."

Wren drank the water as Janson walked out the room. She set the drink down on the table beside her bed and laid down on the bed. Her hand brushed across her side and she felt a bandage.

Wren sat back up and lifted her shirt to see bandages wrapped around her stomach where her ribs were. She sighed and laid back down.
