Wren woke up on a mattress in a cold room. She lifted her head up and saw that her arm was bandaged up properly, going all across her shoulder and down her arm to around her hand. A thud came from the other room so Wren got up to go see. She found Marcus tied to a chair, and some of the group watching as Jorge beat his face in.

"What's going on?" She murmured

"Wren." Newt stood up and hugged her, his expression immediately brightening up when seeing her.

"I suggest that you talk! You son of a bitch!" Jorge punched Marcus in the face again.

"Damn it!" Marcus yelled, but managed to calm down a bit. "I'm sorry, you're going to have to leave my house."

That's when Thomas walked into the room too.

"Looks like you've been having fun." Newt commented

"Listen. I don't enjoy hurting you." Jorge said to Marcus. "Okay? Where is the Right Arm, Marcus?"

"Wait, this is Marcus?" Thomas asked

"The one and only." Wren muttered

Marcus chuckled. "The kid catches on quick. Is he the brains of the operation?"

Jorge grabbed Marcus's hair and lifted his head up. "I know you know where they're hiding. So tell me, and I'll make you a deal. You can come with us."

Marcus laughed. "I burnt that bridge a long time ago. Besides, I made my own deal. You're the one who taught me, never miss an opportunity."

"What's he talking about?" Newt asked

"Right, that's it." Wren pulled out her gun and put it between Marcus's eyes.

"Wren. No." Jorge stopped her.

"Brains as well as beauty." Marcus looked her up at down, so she punched him. "Right- right-." Marcus groaned. "Okay, WCKED wants all the immunes they can get. I help provide that for them. So I lure the kids in.. they get drunk, they have a good time. And then, later, WCKED comes in.. they separate the wheat from the chaff." He laughed.

Wren moved to stand to the side of Marcus, and his hand managed to brush over her leg. She noticed Thomas put his hand on Newt's shoulder to hold him back. But no one did to Jorge.

"I changed my mind, hermano." Jorge patted Marcus on the shoulder. "I do enjoy hurting you." He kicked Marcus and he fell backwards, the back of the chair hitting the ground. Jorge walked over and put his foot on Marcus's chest, pointing at gun at his chin as well. "Talk! Talk!"

"Okay! Jesus! But I'm not making any promises. These guys like to move around." Marcus said

The chair was pushed back up so Marcus could speak clearer.

"They have an outpost in the mountains. But it's a long way away." Marcus sighed

"Then we go to the mountains." Wren took a step back.

"You've got half of WICKED on your asses." Marcus continued. "You're never gonna make it."

"Not on foot." Jorge's lips curled up to a smirk. He leaned in close to Marcus and put his hands on his shoulders. "Where's Bertha?"

"Not Bertha." Marcus stuttered

Jorge drove the car - Bertha - down the road, everyone was seated inside nicely, not causing any trouble. Newt was in the passenger's seat, Wren was behind him, Minho beside her, Thomas beside him, and everyone else was in the very back.

Wren looked down at her bandaged arm, the sleeve was mostly torn up from all the damage, but the bandages were in tact nicely. Newt turned in his seat as much as he could to look at her, resting his chin on the back of the seat.

"You okay?" He asked, looking down at her arm.

"Yeah." She trailed her fingers over her wrist, a small hint of blood seeping through slightly.

"What was Janson talking about when he said he could 'stop it' back at the warehouse? What did he say he could stop?" Newt asked, and most people turned their attention to her.

"I had a thing in my arm, it told WCKED where I was when activated, but it would injure me in the process. I don't remember them putting it in though." She murmured.

"You would sometimes get pains in your hand when in the Glade. Do you think that's related to it?" Newt asked

"Maybe." She looked at him.

-

Teresa looked down at her hands. She tightened her grip on the item in her palm: a small machine, no bigger than a pinky finger, stained with blood and a light that was turned off.

Jorge slowed the car to a stop and everyone got out. In front of them, was a line of cars, all turned off and left there. Crows cawed in the distance.

"Well, I guess we're on foot." Jorge said to them all.

"Lucky us." Wren muttered, slinging her bag over her left shoulder.

They all began to walk past the run-down cars, looking through the unlocked ones in the process. A gunshot was fired and everyone ducked down behind cars.

"Get down!" Jorge yelled.

"Take cover!" Newt yelled, grabbing Wren by the waist and pulling her behind a car, and to the floor beside him.

Once the shots stopped, Thomas spoke up. "Hey, is everyone okay out there?"

"Just peachy!" Wren sighed

"We're fine!" Teresa said

"Anyone know where those bloody shots came from?" Newt asked

Wren got up a bit to peer over the hood of the car. She pulled out her gun and looked around a bit. Thomas poked his head out too to have a look around. They were both immediately shot at so she ducked back down.

"Everybody!" They heard Jorge yell after a moment. "Get set to sprint back to the truck! And hold you're ears!"

Wren looked at Newt, and he looked back at her. But, before anything happened, a gun clocked and a woman spoke.

"Drop it." The woman said, standing behind Jorge and Marcus. "Now!"

"How about you do the same." Wren pointed her gun at the woman, noticing another woman behind her.

That's when Aris made his way over. "Don't shoot!" He looked at the woman and smiled. "Harriet? Sonya?"
