Thomas walked over to the others, who were perched up on a a side of the cliff, looking down at the camp. He sat down beside Wren, who was beside Newt, then Minho, then Frypan.

"I wish Alby could've seen all this." Newt mumbled

"And Winston." Frypan added

Thomas looked down at a wooden figurine he had. "And Chuck."

"And Gally." Wren added, looking down at the camp for a moment.

Frypan looked down at a specific group, Aris was sitting with Harriet and Sonya, talking. "Hey, Aris!" He called down.

"Hey, guys!" Aris called up

"I kinda like that kid." Frypan smiled at the others

"He's a good kid." Wren smiled softly back at him

"I still don't trust him, though." Minho muttered, then chuckled.

Everyone chuckled with him, until Thomas spoke up. "Hey, where's Teresa?"

"She went up there, I think." Wren pointed to a different cliff side, the silhouette of a woman standing there caught everyone's attention.

Thomas made his way up the cliff to Teresa, who was looking at the view. "Hey, you okay? What are you doing up here?"

Teresa glanced at him, then turned back to look at the view, her grip on the tracker tightening in her coat pocket. "Just thinking."

"I'll let you be alone." Thomas replied

He went to walk away, but Teresa spoke up, turning to face him. "Do you remember your mother?" And Thomas turned back around to her.

"I think so." Thomas nodded

"I remember mine." Teresa told him, cracking a smile. "She was a beautiful woman. Everybody loved her. Before WCKED, she was all I had." She took in a deep breath. "When she got sick, I didn't know what to do. I just kept her locked up. Hidden. I thought she'd get better. Every night, she's make these awful sounds, like screaming. And then, one night, she just stopped. She was finally quiet. I went down to her room. And there was blood everywhere. But she was just sat there, calm. She said she was feeling better. The visions were gone. She'd taken care of them. She took her eyes out, Thomas."

Thomas looked down for a moment.

"There are millions of people suffering out there." Teresa continued, beginning to tear up. "Millions of stories, just like mine. And Wren knows how to cure them. She can't turn her back on them. I won't."

Thomas stuttered as he asked. "What are you saying?"

"I'm saying, I want you to understand."

"Understand what?" He stepped closer to her.

"Why I did it." Teresa pulled out the tracker from her pocket. The two looked past the horizon and saw helicopters on their way to the camp.

"Teresa..." Thomas took a step back from her and she turned around to face him.

"Please don't fight them, Thomas." She begged him

"They're going to take her!" Thomas snapped. "What have you done? What have you done?" He quickly ran down the cliff side and to the camp to warn everyone.

Explosions went off when the helicopters got close enough to the camp, and everyone screamed, clamouring to get away.

"Thomas!" Wren ran over to him

"Wren!" Thomas grabbed her shoulders and realised she was shaking. "They're after you! They want the cure! Teresa, she-."

"No.." Wren breathed out heavily and looked back at the camp. People were getting shot and tasered when being chased by soldiers. "Newt.."
