Amelia's POV

A few weeks have passed since that dreadful first day back. She wasn't wrong when she thought that the school would be talking about the Amortentia incident. It was pretty much all anyone talked about for a while.

How was she suppose to know her Amortentia was going to blow up in her face?

Of course, everyone was pointing fingers at Garreth, but he maintained his innocence and said that he never added any extra ingredients. He was also the one that told her to watch the cauldron when it began boiling over.

Amelia knew this as well.

She knew it wasn't Garreth's doing, but she couldn't think of who could've possibly done it.

Did someone walk by her and throw something in their cauldron when she wasn't looking?

The only time that she wasn't paying attention to her cauldron was the split second that she looked back at Sebastian and Adelaide.

She hated how much that still bothered her.

She also couldn't shake the moment that she had with Sebastian in the Undercroft either. They've always been very close since fifth year and have shared platonic hugs and embraces here and there during sixth year, but there was nothing else to it.

That moment felt like there was an invisible electric charge between them that was completely new to her.

He had never looked at her that way before. At least, from what she could tell.

Did something else happen while she was under Amortentia that she wasn't aware of?

She didn't want to linger on it.

It seemed Sebastian didn't either since he acted as though nothing happened after that, which she was silently thankful for.

Another reason could be that he and Anne had been heavily focused on the Quidditch Tryouts today. While they'd be practicing on the field during the late hours most days, Ominis and Amelia would be chatting and studying together in the Undercroft.

As she sat on those bleachers with Ominis, letting the newly fall sun shine down warmth on her face, she couldn't help but feel excited to see her two best friends in action.

Down on the field, she could see Madam Kogawa getting the Quidditch trunk ready with Imelda Reyes standing close by, her last name and the Captain logo plastered to the back of her jersey in big white letters.

"Jellybean?"

She looks over to her right at Ominis who's holding out a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans for her.

"If I get a vomit flavour, you're paying for my funeral," she mumbles, taking one and popping it in her mouth.

"My family is rich," Ominis smirks.

As she chews, her face immediately forms into one of pure disgust.

"Of course, boogers," she gags.

"Better than vomit," Ominis chuckles.

She begins coughing and gagging while Ominis laughs at her, so she grabs his free hand and spits the booger flavoured jellybean into his palm.

Ominis' laughing immediately ceases, his face turning into a scrunch and whipping his hand away, sending the chewed up jellybean flying.

"Have you no decency, Amelia?" He rubs his palm on the front of his pants.

"No," she grins.

"No wonder you and Sebastian get along so well," he mumbles.
