"I might be a hypocrite, I just want an end to all of this. Do you know what I mean? After everything we've seen, I'm scared that I'd love to see a guillotine."

Sebastian's POV

He knew he fucked up when Anne had brisked up to him as fast as she did with nothing but rage in her eyes.

He knew he fucked up even more when she unexpectedly slapped him with the force of a troll swing. She must've used all of her strength into that one slap alone, his face remaining in the direction his head was whipped to with bewildered eyes and a stinging sensation that spread through his entire cheek.

After what seemed like an eternity of him standing there and staring off into space, he whipped his head back towards her while rubbing his cheek, "What was that for?!"

"Adelaide fucking Oakes?" She seethes in his face, "Really, Sebastian?!"

"I was under a bloody love potion, Anne!" He continued holding his stinging cheek while glaring down at his sister, "Did you think I wanted to do that?"

"It wouldn't have happened if you didn't accept a drink from her in the first place!" She countered.

"How was I suppose to know she spiked it? And why does it even matter?!"

"It matters because you're incapable of processing your own emotions properly and proceed to do reckless shit!" She shouts in his face.

He furrows his eyebrows at her, "What the hell is that suppose to mean, Anne?"

"It means that you fancy Amelia and are too bloody stubborn to face that fact!" She was practically shaking with rage.

"So what if I did?!" He frustratingly lets out, "She doesn't need me right now, Anne. There's too much going on for her."

"Have you even once considered what she thought about you? How she feels about you? She saw you with Adelaide, if she didn't fancy you back she wouldn't have cared," she holds up her left hand that was pulsing red with blisters forming on her palm, causing his eyes to widen at the sight, "Does this look like someone who doesn't fucking care?!"

...

He was such a twat.

Such. A. Twat.

He once again didn't consider how Amelia had felt.

And he just pushed her away after everything.

Fuck.

If he thought he couldn't hate himself anymore than he already did, this moment proved him wrong.

He sighs in resignation and bows his head with a shake, "I would only hurt her-"

"YOU ALREADY DID!"

He pinches his eyes shut and swallows, his mind on a downward spiral, "Anne-"

A sudden burst of bright light flooded the common room, prompting them to shield their eyes with their hands as screams and frantic footsteps echoed through the air.

As the light faded, they turned their heads towards the main area, eyes widening at the unfolding chaos. Hordes of students sprinted in all directions, colliding and toppling furniture, their screams reverberating throughout the space.

It was catastrophic.

And Sebastian immediately knew this night was going to get much worse than it already was.
