Amelia's POV

The Room of Requirement was more alive in that moment than it had been since Amelia's fifth year when she spent all that time brewing potions, growing plants, and practicing her spell casting.

The night time ambiance bathed the Room in a serene twilight glow, but with Amelia and Sebastian preparing for the Crossed Wands finals, the space transformed into a vibrant display of red, purple, and gold, the colors dancing and morphing across the black gothic walls and the draped white ceiling in a vast range of hues.

The furniture that normally filled the room had been conjured away beside the few wooden desks that lined the edge of the Room, giving them the space needed to practice their spells more freely.

Their Slytherin ties and vests lay haphazardly on the floor next to each other, evidence of the hours of spell practice that left them both sweating rather profusely.

Although Amelia typically wore her hair down, the strenuous session made her fasten it into a messy bun that sagged slightly from her continuous movements. The upper buttons of her white blouse were undone, tiny droplets of sweat decorated her chest.

Sebastian's sleeves were rolled up to his elbows and had also left a few of his top buttons undone that revealed a glimpse of chest hair peeking through, which Amelia made an effort not to gawk at. His unruly hair looked even more tousled, the work out leaving him with beads of sweat that dotted his forehead, while a few stray strands stuck to them like glue.

The main reason why she brought him up there was so that Anne and Ominis could have their moment in the Undercroft, but after remembering the finals were tomorrow, including her anticipated duel with Clive, she needed to be at the top of her game.

But another part of her was saying that she wanted to be alone with him.

After a while, the strenuous activity pushed them both to exhaustion as they stood across from each other with panting breaths and tired smiles.

"I think," Sebastian takes a second to catch his breath, with his palms resting on his knees, "We're both going to need a shower after this."

Amelia wipes the beads of sweat from her forehead with the back of her forearm, "No shit, Sherlock."

"Ah," he straightens up and pockets his wand with a grin, "Figured out what my Halloween costume was, have you?"

"No," she says sarcastically, pocketing her own wand, "I just thought you were dressed as a handsome prick."

"You think I'm handsome?" He drawls with a smirk, ignoring her insult.

She rolls her eyes at the freckled man who strolls up closer to her, her heart picking up speed as he did, "I wouldn't have let you shove your tongue down my throat in the middle of an arena at six in the morning if I didn't."

He releases a chuckle at the memory, "And I so look forward to doing it again after this weekend."

"How are you so positive we'll find the locket?" She asks, trying to ignore the blush in her cheeks and the heat pulsing between her legs to almost no avail, "It could be on the other side of the planet, for all we know."
