Amelia's POV

While Amelia made her way inside the crowded clock tower with Sebastian by her side, she felt as if she could take on a hundred trolls at once.

She didn't think that the two mind-blowing orgasms he had given her a day prior would make her feel this relaxed.

She normally would've felt a growing sense of stress and anxiety as they prepared on the duelling floor for the finals, but she felt none of that.

She felt weightless.

It was as if he had wrung out every single stressor from her body like a wet towel.

She wasn't worried about the finals at all. She wasn't even worried about their departure tomorrow.

For the first time in what felt like a long time, her head felt completely clear.

Without a doubt, she was craving his intimacy once more, even more than before, but if they could find the locket and be done with it all this weekend, she could have more of him.

That is, if she doesn't lose her life in the process.

But right now, her mindset was solely focused on winning the duos with Sebastian and kicking Clive Caine's ass right after.

Valencia was able to converse with him about it, but he was never specific with her about what he was planning to do, with his only cryptic response being, "Well, it's not Legilimency."

Does he plan to perform a different spell that involves penetrating her mind? She knew Occlumency now, but would it work?

Unfortunately, there was only one way to truly find out.

Looking around, there were even more students than there were at the semifinals. They were all eager to watch the so-called Slytherin prince and princess duel together, but after what Clive had done to Astoria in the semifinals that quickly spread rampant around the school, they were more curious to see what he'd do against the most powerful witch in existence.

She took down Rookwood, Harlow, and Ranrok during her first year at Hogwarts and is the only witch alive to wield ancient magic. She had a right to call herself that.

The sudden excited chatter had her and Sebastian turning their heads towards the clock tower entrance to see Leander Prewett and Charlotte Morrison make their way in with confident grins plastered on both of their faces as they discussed strategies amongst each other.

Sebastian turns to her then with wand already in hand, sporting a grin of his own, "Are you ready, partner in crime?"

She smiles and retrieves her own wand out of her skirt pocket, "Ready as I'll ever be."

He takes a glance towards Leander and Charlotte who were taking their positions on the floor, "I can focus on Prewett while you deal with Morrison. She'll be easy to catch off guard, so I recommend using Disillusionment to throw her off. This match can be over with fairly quickly."

She nods, "Understood."

"Welcome to the Crossed Wands finals! We have two exciting rounds taking place today! We will begin with Amelia Abernathy and Sebastian Sallow facing off against Leander Prewett and Charlotte Morrison! Right after, we'll have our final round with Amelia Abernathy against Clive Caine! It all comes down to this, folks. Feel free to see Andrew Larson by the gate to place your bets! Winners take all!" Lucan announces, the room erupting into cheers and chants, "Duelists, take your marks!"
