The Attack Part 3

"How could you let this happen?" Mr. Davenport says as he, Bree, Skyler, Oliver, Kaz, Stefan, and Blake stand in Mission Command.

"We didn't mean for Cassie to get captured," Bree says.

"You're her big sister. It's your responsibility to make sure that something like this doesn't happen." Mr. Davenport says.

"Mr. Davenport, it wasn't Bree's fault. It was mine. I let her get away. I tried to stop her, but she overpowered me and knocked me out." Stefan says.

"It's true. Ever since she got her superpowers, she's been getting stronger." Blake says.

"All the more reason to keep an eye on her. We don't know the full extent of her superpowers, and with Rodissius holding her captive, who knows what plans he has for her." Mr. Davenport says.

"I feel bad about this. Is there anything we can do?" Bree says.

"We have to start searching for her." Mr. Davenport says.

"We tried to do that, but we got ambushed by Roman and Riker's siblings," Kaz says.

"We can't just give up. She would do the same if it happened to one of us." Mr. Davenport says.

"Mr. Davenport is right, guys. Cassie wouldn't be standing around doing nothing. She would get out and fight. We can do this." Stefan says.

"What about Chase?" Blake says.

"What about him?" Bree says.

"Don't Chase and Cassie have this sort of twin telepathy thing where one twin knows what the other twin is feeling?" Blake says.

"Oh, please. There's no such thing as twin telepathy. I mean, yeah, they have this special bond but..." Mr. Davenport stops mid-sentence as a look of realization crosses his face.

"But what?" Oliver says.

"Blake may be on to something." Mr. Davenport says. He pulls out his phone and calls Chase.

At the hospital, Chase was sitting beside Douglas' hospital bed as his uncle lay in a coma. During the ride to the hospital, Douglas lost consciousness after being attacked by Reese and hasn't woken up since. Chase jumps at the sound of his cell phone ringing and answers it. "Hello?"

"Chase, hey. I know you don't want to hear this, but...it's Cassie." Mr. Davenport says.

"What?" Chase says, his voice breaking. His face looked tired, and he hadn't slept since arriving at the hospital with Douglas. The last thing he wanted to hear was something bad happening to one of his siblings or friends. "What's wrong with Cassie?"

"After Reese...well, you know. Cassie wanted revenge and tried to go after her but she ended up getting captured by her and her brothers." Mr. Davenport explained.

"How could you let this happen?" Chase says.

"We didn't know what was going to happen but I'm calling you now because we need your help." Mr. Davenport says.

"So, you want me to come back to the penthouse?" Chase says.

"Yes." Mr. Davenport says.

"I...I don't know if I can." Chase says, looking at Douglas.

"Yes, you can. Rodissius has Cassie and he knows about her superpowers. She needs you. I can stay with Douglas." Mr. Davenport says.

"But..."

"It's okay, Chase. Go save your sister." Mr. Davenport says.
