[CHAPTER NINETEEN] SANCTUARY

In the previous chapter: "Oh my God! Cyg are you okay?" Lia rose up from the crowd with his own water bottle, checking on the shopkeeper to see how harsh he had been hit

"Whoa Lia, did you throw the bottle?" he said before he took a sip

"Yeah, I saw you got hit-"

"It's okay really. Follow me to the shop, I've got something to show you".

The two walked to Cyg's shop, the brown haired boy looked over the table just to find out something...

"The key!" he exclaimed

"...It's missing" added Lia, and indeed it was

"Someone must have stolen it" Cyg said, and the boys agreed to search together for the key.

In the meantime, the Brookhaven PD had the information that they needed about the facility and were going to do something about this madness.

...

"Alright so..." began Souls, turning to look to her comrades who were in the backseat "...We're going to the Town Hall. We need to show the mayor the video we have of the facility"

"Yes, of course" replied Dylan

"But first we'll need to tell him the context and how we've gotten the footage" said Noto

"And what will I do? Am I going to stay in the car?" asked Emily

"You will come with us..." explained the female officer "...You will be our witness, you've played the trials right?"

"Yes I did".

A few seconds later the car stopped

"Let's go guys!" Rick exclaimed, one by one they all got out of the car and headed inside Town Hall. After going up the stairs they knocked on the mayor's office's door

"Yes?" Mr. Wolf said while sitting at his desk

"We're the Brookhaven PD and we need to show you something very important" stated Rick

"Alright, come in then".

The group opened the door and stepped in, Rick explained that they've captured footage from a mysterious facility where people are trapped and forced to play a series of deadly games

"That seems outlandish!" exclaimed Mr. Wolf

"You're right, but we assure you we're not joking!" reassured Noto

"I couldn't imagine you actually joking about something this serious... hand me the footage".

The team gave the mayor the tablet and he played the video

"Hm, this is interesting" he said after a few minutes of watching but then something happened to the video

"Uh, is this supposed to happen?"

the team leaned over to see and the tablet seemed to be glitching out

"No! What is going on?" asked Souls, then the lights started to flicker.

Everyone in the room was now completely terrified and after about 10 seconds the whole power went out in the building

"OH MY GOD!" screamed Emily

"Calm down, this is only a power outage which is absolutely normal-" said Mr. Wolf trying to be rational but then he and the others saw something no one could comprehend...

...glowing    yellow    eyes.

...

Meanwhile, with the mediators at the trials facility that night...

Imagine got up from her bed excepting everyone to be fast asleep but she instead heard a whisper

"Imagine?" "Viva?"

she might have not been able to see her in the dark but she was surely there

"What are you doing?" asked Viva

"I'm trying to get food"

"That sounds risky, what if you're found out?"

"They won't be able to kill me..." she replied with confidence

"Wait. Do you think you can do a... favor for me?" Viva then asked

"Hm, what favor?"

"I was thinking... since you can still use your powers, can you go to the Sanctuary to warn everyone there?".

Imagine thought about the offer for a moment, "I guess I could. I mean, I don't see a reason why I shouldn't try" and with the girl did some magic, black smoke and sparkles came out of her body before she had disappeared. Later, she found herself in a different land; everything around her was red and black, bright red lights shined from an arch.

"So it really did work..." said Imagine to herself, she tuned around to see a small black floating figure rushing towards her, a closer inspection reveals that she had white facial featured, wings and tiny horns

"Imagine!! You're back!!" she shouted when she got to see her old friend again, Imagine jumped

"Olivia?!"

"You won't understand how much we missed you Imagine" said the devil "We searched for you everywhere! Seriously where were you?"

"I was in a facility, basically we had to play games and it was kinda like a prison"

"What?" asked Olivia

"I know it sounds crazy but believe me that thousands of people are trapped in there right now"

"And you think that I can do something to free everyone there?"

"I think we should go talk to the demons about this, they will probably know what to do" said Imagine

"Alright! Let's go".

A while later...

Imagine and Olivia were walking through the lands of the Sanctuary when they saw someone standing in a corner

"Hey there" said Imagine

"Uh?" the person turned around

"I've never seen you before, who are you?", the two got closer

"Me? Oh, you don't need to worry about me" the stranger said

"Wait a second... aren't you Machete from the Elites?" asked Olivia suddenly

"Correct- well, not really. See I got kicked out a long time ago"

"Oh", "We do still need your help thought" Imagine told him

End of chapter 19, this one is slightly shorted but very lore heavy. I hope you guys enjoyed it and stay tuned to know who that stranger may be, and what's going to happen to Spork.
