There's quiet darkness around me and I sip on my tea thinking about Lola and everything attached to her

She's going to come down in five minutes

Five minutes later Lola opens the door and enters the kitchen

She's wearing her Victoria's Secret pink satin night dress

She opens the curtains and let's the moonlight stream in casting an ominous glow

I'm obscured in the shadows and lean back watching her as she begins baking some vanilla cupcakes

Placing them in the oven, she sits down and her beautiful face is illuminated by the glow from the oven

Her shoulders begin shaking and she begins sobbing quietly to herself

It takes all my will not to reveal myself and gather her in my arms and destroy those tears

You need to let her cope on her own

Lola takes out her phone and calls Anna her coveted best friend

"I've been thinking," she says wiping her nose with the back of her hand

"It wouldn't hurt to get even," her voice rips through the silence even though it's soft and gentle

"I'm making dad's favourite cupcakes; I've been so shit to him lately," Lola explains tapping the oven door with her index finger

She nods her head a couple of times before hanging up

Grabbing some oven gloves, Lola takes the cupcakes and sets them on the cooler

Taking one out of the dish, she opens the window and places it on the windowsill before closing it

"Enjoy the cupcake mum" she says whimsically gazing up at the starry sky

Closing the curtains, Lola trudges upstairs

I've crushed my beer glass and I'm bleeding profusely

I don't feel a damn thing
