Lola and I are smuggled on the couch watching TV
"How are things with you and Zara?" I ask
She shrugs her shoulders blasé and indifferent
"You win some you lose some," she explains with a tinge of sadness in her voice
"Do you think I'll ever love anyone else?" She asks her voice shaking and becoming weak
My grip tightens around her shoulders protectively
"It took me 10 years to finally decide that I can't be alone for the rest of my the life and that's when I decided to let Amber in. Don't get me wrong, Amber and I were very much in love at the beginning; I wouldn't have married her if it hadn't been so but now I'm in love with Hannah just the same as I was with your mother and Amber-," I state as I feel Lola's tears soaking into my shirt
Lola begins sobbing hard and growls in frustration
My fear ignites when I try and wile away her tears
