I hold her hand tightly as the doctor shows us the scan of our child
"Can you tell us the sex yet?" She asks excitedly, her eyes glistening over
"No not yet, we will be able to tell in the next 8 weeks though," he chuckles lightly
We leave the wing holding hands tightly, my pockets full of the pictures of our child
"Are you going to show them to Lola and Ericka and Jason?" She asks nervously
I nod my head firmly and reassure that there'll be a formal introduction
"Next week," I promise her
