Lola beams at me before taking a spoon in her mouth
"So Anna tells me you're now swimming on the other end of the river... What's her name?" I ask coyly
Lola glowers at me before answering
"Zara and that's all I'm saying," she states coldly
"I'd say use protection but you won't get pregnant," I chuckle flipping some pancakes
Rolling her eyes, Lola gets up off the table and leaves the room pretending to gag
It only hits me then that I might not live long enough to see which side she truly wants to spend the rest of her life with
