Chapter 26: Just a Swim/From Now On

Everything was back to normal in Enchancia. The castle was remodeled and everyone had a grand time! Amber finally returned to her room but it wasn't dull grey like it originally was. It was very colorful, like Rapunzel's castle in Corona. She had her piano and her lines of crowns as usual. She couldn't believe she was back home after the HUGE adventure the group went on together. As Amber looked at the sunny sky, Alberto scooped her up and swung her around, placing a kiss on her cheek. "You startled me," Amber giggled. "What can I say?" Alberto said. "You're an expert, go figure," Amber nudged him, chuckling. Alberto blushed. "Alberto, don't ever change." Amber smiled. They were about to kiss when Alberto had an idea. "Say, how about we go for a swim?" Alberto asked. "Alberto, you know I'd love to but I don't have my green amulet." Amber sighed. "Oh! You mean this amulet?" Alberto held it up. The amulet was changed to a cyan color like Amber's new eyes. "My amulet!" Amber said. "I asked Sofia and the guys to help me out with it." Alberto said. Amber hugged Alberto tightly as Alberto returned the favor. "How could I ask for a perfect boyfriend?" Amber asked Alberto. "Mm, you didn't. I just happened to show up," Alberto said as he and Amber laughed together. "Now about that swim? Care to join me, Princess?" Alberto asked. "Oh you're on!" Amber said. They both got into their bathing suits and headed out to the ocean off of Enchancia. Alberto jumped into the water first and changed into his sea monster self. Amber sighed and did a cannonball into the water. She immediately changed into her mermaid self but her tail was light red. Alberto was shocked. "Do I look bad?" Amber asked. Alberto swam up to her, putting his hands on her cheeks. "No, you look beautiful." Alberto told her. Amber smiled. They kissed. "Race ya!" Alberto said to Amber. "Not if I can beat you first!" Amber giggled. They raced and raced together. They had a grand time as they raced, told each other jokes/stories, splashed each other with water, and surfed the waves. After that, they returned to the castle. Alberto kissed Amber's hand as they went their separate ways. "I'll see you tonight?" Alberto asked her. "Tonight? Why?" Amber asked while putting her amulet on. "You'll see," Alberto winked at her. Amber giggled as she returned to her room. She noticed a note on her bed. Curious but cautious, she opened it up:

Thinking it was Alberto who wrote it, Amber quickly got dressed and ready to attend this ball. She looked at herself in the mirror and sighed happily. After getting ready, she put the invitation in her pocket. She ran to Alberto's room and knocked on his door. No answer. "Wow, you look stunning." Amber turned around and noticed Alberto saying that to her. She looked at Alberto, all dressed up and handsome. "You look amazing, too! Hey, did you write this?" Amber asked handing the note over to Alberto. Alberto took out something similar. "I was gonna say the same thing! It's not my handwriting," Alberto said. Trumpets started blaring as Amber and Alberto rushed to the scene. Amber tried to open the ballroom doors but they were shut. Alberto held out his hand for Amber as Amber smiled, putting hers in his. They were gonna knock until the doors opened. Suddenly, they all saw their friends and family in the ballroom, cheering for them. "Long live Amber and Alberto!" James called out. "Yo ho let's go!" Jake said. "What is all this?" Amber asked. "Let's just say it a celebratory gathering of saying 'Welcome Home!'" Alberto grinned. "You planned this for me?" Amber asked Alberto. Alberto took Amber's hand, "We all did." "I don't understand, you're the one that saved me," Amber said confused. Alberto cupped his hands on her cheeks. "No Princess, you saved me." Alberto said as Amber teared up. She kissed Alberto again as Alberto returned the favor. "Get a room you two!" James hollered out. Everyone laughed at the joke. The music started playing as Alberto started singing, taking Amber's hand:
