Chapter 21

It's been a week since Jimin discovered that he's able to produce and manipulate fire from his own. He was both ecstatic and nervous with the discovery. Although he can't help but feel mostly the latter, as there would be occasional glimpses of his past whenever he will try to use his magic.

Nevertheless, he enjoyed using it as it feels surreal to be able to use magic at this time of his life. Never did he imagined something as mysterious yet magical could happen to him.

However he still don't want to think much of the possibility of him being reborn in this life as a witch. Because even if he was, he would still want to be reffered as a bookkeeper. Not a witch. It just don't sit right to him. Don't know why, but he seems to like that label more than to be called a witch.

As expected, when he read/used the book in his library that only he could access, during one of his meditations, it burned on its own.

Indicating that he's now the one and only person who knew what knowledge that certain book once has and of course, Jimin made sure to transfer all its contents to a scroll. He is not going to gatekeep.

He wants to help Yoongi's kingdom to grow even when the King himself, realistically, wants him dead once proven he is indeed a witch and not a bookkeeper as what he kept on telling them.

Although, if Yoongi suddenly decided to change his mind and would want to keep him (for Leukos gain, of course), he might be able enjoy this second life of his to the fullest.

That again, is if the King will use him to teach Taehyung and the scholars of the Palace, not that he minds though. He rather be alive than dead.

Jimin sighed when he realised he's just being paranoid someone would barged in while he discreetly uses his magic to mold the base of the hourglass, as a way too to practice his fire magic. Although he can't use his magic for more than five minutes as he have to rest every now and then. So he had a lit candle beside him ready just in case so he can use it as his alibi too, that that is what he's using to mold the glass and not his so-called magic, which of course we all know is a lie.

He realised that probably the reason why he lost the magic he once had in the first place on the first day he was in Leukos to save Yoongi and the everyone from Leukos against Kai and the witches of Erebos, was because his physical strength doesn't match with his magical ability, and that he should probably start gaining physical strength too, if he wants to balance and gain control of his witch magic, or whatever one would call it.

However he's thankful though that no one has yet bothered him since earlier in his library. Yes, his— secretly.

He is the only one who knew this library was his, as he self-proclaimed that the once abandoned library is now owned by him, given that he had been occupying said library for quite some days now since Boongi lead him here.

Although the King tried to persuade Jimin to use the other library instead, which was way bigger and has a lot more books than the one where he resides, but he just respectfully declined the offer saying that he pretty much prefer small spaces where in reality it's a lie.

He don't like the vibe of that other library Yoongi was persuading him to use instead because One, he found out from Namjoon, who was with them during the time the King was touring him inside said library, that it was previously owned by Irene, Yoongi's ex-wife. Second, and most importantly, he really do not like the vibe that library is giving him. It is like he's being choke on the neck for some reason or ,was it just his imagination because he's being biased to the King's ex-wife?

Of course, it will be such a delight to have a big library of his own in this world like he previously once had from his own world, even though it can't be as big as what he used to have but still, as a bookkeeper, he would rather have a comfortable library than a big one that gives him the creeps the longer he stays inside. He wonders what kind of fuckery er, magic Irene did there.
