UNUM (YOONMIN•ON-GOING)

Chapter 27

"Jimin hyung," chirped Taehyung upon entering the library where the witch resides along with Jungkook and Boongi. Surprised to see the big sacks lying on the table.

"Oh finally, there you are," says Jimin in relief before glancing up to Jungkook, "I'm glad you're here too. Me and Taehyung will need your help and we don't have much time to waste. The moon is about to come out any time soon."

"What can I do to help?"

"Do you know by chance all the names of the individuals that fell ill?" of course, the question is absurd, impossible even for the prince to know but Jimin's taking a chance. It's the quickest he can think of instead of handing each candle door-to-door to the affected and innocent victims of the bad witch from Erebos.

"I-, I can try."

"We will try. This is our only chance," Jimin nods, trying to convince himself and the two that they will be able to banish the hex from the victims. He carried one of the sacks in front of the two before opening it which surprised them. Who wouldn't when you saw a lot of white candles? What are they going to do with these? Even Taehyung, who is learning to be a fully-fledged witch is dumbfounded. The candles were a lot. A lot more than he has in mind that can be used in spells.

"I hope this is enough," says Jimin before walking past his desk to look for the mini sewing kit he found recently in the drawer, "I want you to write the names of each individual you know who fell sick. Make sure that as you write their names on the body of the candle, believe that they will be healed. Write their names downward."

Jungkook could only nod and accept the needle for sewing Jimin handed him.

"Use that in carving their names on the candle. Make sure you write their name as clearly as if it is going to be read, alright?"

"Yes, hyung." the prince didn't ask no more questions and started doing his task before Jimin asked Taehyung to help him slice the huge amount of lime he bought with him back at the palace. The three of them so focus they didn't notice how fast they were that they happen to be now poking each of the round slices of lime with a candle at the center. Jimin left Taehyung and Jungkook to finish poking the limes with candles and starts rummaging in one of the empty kitchens there was at the palace. Pulled one empty wooden bowl from one of the drawers and began looking for bay leaves. To him, rosemary isn't enough for what seemingly looks like a simple protection spell. He needs to be sure that the hex thrown at them will be removed completely and that there is no way it may come back to the affected people.

He also put a handful amount of basil, cinnamon bark, and some handfuls of peppercorn and mint into the bowl. Before leaving he made sure to bring another big empty bowl with him. When he returned, the task he left to the two had been finished. He thanked them and instructed Jungkook on what to do next. The prince nods and obliges as fast as he can. He doesn't have much time like what Jimin said so he needs to hurry and ask the guards for help.

Jimin transferred the contents of the medium-sized wooden bowl to the extra big bowl he bought with him full of kitchen ingredients before adding the bag of rosemary and handing it over to Taehyung.

"Mix it with your hand for me, please," he says before going to his drawer to get some myrrh resins and frankincense he got from a tree near the Avungrund, where he first met his first friends at Leukos. At first, he thought those were just tree saps. Those brown honey-looking saps that ants seem to be drawn to only to realise those are incense, smoke much bigger than a stick can produce.

From where Jimin lived before, stick incense was common but of course, with the help of his books from his library, he discovered that other forms of incense were being used in other parts of the world which led to him using one of those said incense to the impending spell he and Taehyung will be doing minutes from now.
