Join the traces scattered among the gritty tiled floor
There are no corner pieces, only crumbs left for the bugs
But glue enough together, there's a treasure to be dug up

Painted jewels disguised as broken glass
Cardboard as boards of a ship
Divinely made metalwork of paperclips

Scales of justice wavering finding fault of every heart
They gleam in the hard LED lights
Of this lovely desolate camp

The smells that entrap the brain and threaten every cell
Cancer ravishing each wall till sent to furious extinction
It must be, it must be

Skin flakes volunteer as a canvas
The oils and acids paint at whim
Creation and destruction both found in this void

Put these pieces together and view
A tool of the Earth's inner makings
The beauty of things so small that some fear
But others relish its workings
