2.9 Magic Restored

Using what little magic remained, the family was able to bring Y/N's body into the realm of the gods. They held a small funeral for him and buried him underneath the withering Tree of Life that was once blossoming during the reign of the old gods. 

They all said a few words and mourned the loss of their family member. Freddy placed a photograph of he and Y/N on top of the mound of dirt. Darla looked at the grave and then back up at the dying tree.

Darla: Will this land ever come back?

The wizard sighed. He held the staff in his hands, its glowing spark now extinguished.

Wizard: The staff is drained of magic. Only the spark of a god can restore its power and there are no gods left.

Just then, a voice called out to them.

?: There is one. 

They all turned around to see Wonder Woman, Diana of Themyscira, standing across from them in her hero attire. Her red and gold breastplate shined in the evening sun. The demigod walked over to them, the entire family looking with gaping mouths. Freddy was in awe, but stopped when Anne lightly hit his shoulder.

Diana approached the wizard. They nodded in understanding as she took hold of the staff. Wonder Woman held the staff up high. The clouds darkened and a bolt of lightning was summoned from the sky. She brought the staff down and hit the ground as it was imbued with power.

Almost immediately, the dying grass around the area began to blossom and form beautiful flowers. The decaying tree was restored to life. Its branches became sturdy and purple flowers blossomed on its structure. The entire god realm was restored to life. Anne looked down and saw the magical symbols on her hands reappear. Her powers had been restored.
