A New Beginning

Chapter 28:

Jaddu's POV:-

I stepped out of the shower and shut the water off. Grabbing my black trousers and dark blue shirt, I quickly wore them.

There was a knock on the door and I hollered a 'come in' to the person outside. The door opened to reveal Akku wearing a short black dress which stopped at the mid thigh. Her hair was in perfect waves and I felt my mouth open but no words came out. She looked gorgeous as usual and I couldn't find words to compliment her.

She was looking at me with the same look on her face and stepped inside, closing the door behind her.

I reached her in two huge strides and pushed her into the door. Placing both my hands on either side of her, I bend my head and rubbed my nose on her neck softly. She smelled like strawberries and it was intoxicating. I pressed my lips to her neck and her head bend backwards to give me more access. She moved her hands to my back but I caught them in mine and pulled them beside her head, so she couldn't use them anymore.

I kept tracing patterns from below her ear to the nape of her neck, till she was squirming under my touch.

"Jaddu." She whimpered and I caught her lips in mine, moving mine along them. She gasped and I took the opportunity to explore her mouth with my tongue.

I pulled away a bit and rested my forehead on her's, my breathing laboured. Her eyes were closed and her chest moved up and down quickly.

"We should leave." I said.

She just nodded but we stayed in that position a moment longer before actually moving.

We both walked into the restaurant hand in hand and were ushered towards the rest of the team. It was a get together dinner before we all boarded the flight for the long season ahead.

"Hello Sir Ravindra Jadeja!" Raina called out and I twirled my moustache in my usual fashion, smirking. "Hi Akansha!" He greeted Akku along with the rest of the table and I felt her stiffen ever so slightly.

But her smile didn't waver a bit and she greeted them all back happily. It could easily be said that she had come a long way.

We got seated on the table and got into separate conversations, but neither of us left the other's hand under the table.

"Oye Jaddu, Akku was born in your hometown right? So maybe I should ask her if all the things you have told us over the years are actually true or not." Virat said, refering to a few instances where I may or may not have stretched the truth a bit.

I saw his lips twitch, they all knew the truth, and were just pulling my leg.

"Oh you know about that horse in Jamnagar?" Akku asks them loudly, taking off attention from me.

I look at her in awe, it was not an actual story ofcourse. Only one leg of the horse was up in the air and that leg didn't change from left to right. But how did she know this story?! I guess she saw it on the news or something.

"So you mean to say that it's true?" Rayudu asked bewildered.

"Well..." She drawled on before looking him straight in the eye as he actually waited for the answer. "No. Ofcourse not." She said with a straight face before the both of us started gaffawing. I'm sure I heard Shikhar say match made in heaven under his breath and it just made me laugh louder.

Coach suddenly rose from the head of the table and called us to attention.

"Guys, we will be leaving tomorrow and I know this tour is long, but it is also very important for us. We need to have a good showing overseas. So practise and all, but don't forget to relax. If anything goes wrong, come to me first and as soon as possible. Don't be afraid to talk to the support staff about any niggle and remember to concentrate only on cricket. Everything else can wait." He finished and by the end I think he gave Virat, Elize, me and Akku pointed looks.
