"So when is the first date?" Gracie jumped and turned around to her mother. "W-What?" She asked confused. "Sweetheart I'm your mother I know when my little girl has a crush. And I know when the girl who I was around for years has a crush on my daughter." Gracie chuckled nervously until she took a second to think. Did she like you? You guys were pretty close to each other those last few minutes.
"Earth to Gracie?" Her mom said grabbing back her attention. She looked up at her mom coming back from her head. "Mom I think I might like her." Katie chuckled and walked up to her daughter to hug her. "Oh, honey, the way you two were holding each other and you didn't even know it I think that you should've opened your eyes." Gracie nodded before she pushed her mother away, "Wait you were watching us?"
Katie nodded, "Of course, yet again, I'm your mother." Katie paused and whispered, "The rest of the family is upstairs looking out the open window." Gracie groaned and marched upstairs. "Stop spying on me!" She shouted as the three gentlemen ran to their respective rooms. She stormed into her parent's room as JJ sat on the bed slightly out of breath. "Hey Gracie how was your night!"
She looked at him with her hands on her hips and said, "Pretty sure you know since you're spying on me." He sarcastically laughed and said, "You know what, you can forgive me when you look at your phone."
Unknown Number - Hey Gracie! It's Y/N just thought I'd let you know I made it home safe. Thanks for a great end to my night. It's really good to be around people again, especially you and your family :)
"I hate you but thank you." She said skipping off to her room to respond to you. "Wait! Gracie." Her father called her back. "Yeah?" She asked popping her head back in. "She's been through a lot more than you know. Go easy. But trust me, when it was just me and her talking tonight she asked about you maybe four times. She doesn't know she has a crush on you but she does. It seems a little rushed that you two like each other or whatever but I know that one look can do a lot for the heart. Now go write, I know you've got something brewing up there." Gracie smiled at her father before leaving his room thanking him again.
She rushed to her desk, grabbed her notebook, and jotted some lyrics down. 'You live in Hollywood, you're half an hour from me, your reputation's good, I hope we've got a lot in common' She smiled at the few lyrics. She had time to make this a full song but it made her think back to 2015 when she wrote one certain song. She was going to release it fully produced in 2017 but it just didn't happen. 'Just let me be, close to you...' she hummed before she realized she hadn't responded to you yet.
