Chapter 38

The Jeon family left the villa after their talk with Namjoon and Jin. The Kim couple was now in their bedroom preparing to rest and sleep after a taxing day.

Namjoon was massaging Jin's foot because the omega was complaining that it was a bit painful from walking and standing for too long in the duration of the wedding ceremony. "You needn't do everything by yourself. I wonder why you tire yourself during our son's wedding. We have plenty of helpers plus Jungwon was also there." Namjoon shakes his head while low-key scolding his mate.

"Well Jungwon did help a lot but I still had to exert a lot of effort to make our son's wedding perfect. Didn't you hear the press praising the event? It was the least I could do for Tae. From now on, he'll only have the best of everything. He was deprived of a comfortable life because of the Lee family. I will spoil our son like the prince he is. He deserves it after what he'd been through." Jin firmly stated.

"Very well, I'm also thinking of gradually training him as the next CEO of our company since he's going to replace me in the future. Don't worry, I won't force him to go to the office yet. He can train at home since he's expecting. I don't want to tire him and hurt our grandchild." Namjoon shared his plans to Jin while indulging his mate with foot massage.

"Money isn't a problem, doctor. Please do everything you can to save Lee Hojin." Hoseok told the doctor who was in charge of Hojin.

"Don't worry, Mr. Jung. Me and my team will do our best to treat the patient. He's lucky he has someone like you who will shoulder his expenses." The doctor replied.

"He has no one so I had to step in and help. Can I talk to him before the surgery?"

"Of course, Mr. Jung. There's still two hours before his surgery. Just don't say anything that might stress him. We don't want him dying on us before the surgery." The doctor joked and Hoseok nodded in agreement.

Hoseok stepped inside Hojin's room. He paused by the door and intently looked at Hojin. The male have become paler and thinner since the last time he checked on him. He knew Hojin wasn't a bad person considering he took care and loved Taehyung as his own son. But that doesn't mean his sins should be taken lightly. He let Yujin manipulate him. He separated Taehyung from his real parents and deprived the poor boy of the love and comfortable life that was meant for him.

Hoseok took a deep breath before approaching the patient's bed. He pulled a chair towards the bed and sat on it. Hojin opened his eyes to see the person who visits him. His face fell, disappointment evident upon not seeing the person he wants badly to see.

"You can't blame him for not showing up here. You deceived him for more than twenty years and you expect him to forgive you just like that. Be realistic, Hojin." Hoseok can't help but scoffed loudly.

Hojin teared up, it isn't like he didn't anticipate this. But somehow, he still hoped that Taetae would meet him just once. "How is he? Is he healthy? Are his real parents treating him well?"

"Yeah, they do. They are spoiling him. They're giving him everything he was deprived of. You don't have to worry about him. You should worry about yourself and make sure you survive the surgery so you'll have time to repent for the grave sin you did to that poor boy and his parents. And leave Taehyung be, don't show yourself to him anymore. He doesn't need a painful reminder of his bitter past. Do you think he would like to see you and remind himself of the cruelty you and your disgusting family did to him?" Hoseok bluntly uttered as he rose from his seat. "I'll leave you now, don't worry about your hospital bills, it was already taken care of."

Hojin was left in tears all alone in that hospital room. No, he won't give up. Not on his life and not on his Taetae. He's determined to earn the younger's forgiveness even if he has to put his life on the line. He's willing to die for his Taetae to atone for the sin he committed against the younger. He just hope Taetae will someday find it in his heart to forgive him.
