Chapter 40

Jungkook brought his clothes and other belongings from his penthouse to the villa. Jin gave them one of the biggest bedrooms. Taehyung already transferred his clothes to their room before Jungkook came in with his luggage.

Taehyung was sitting on the bed folding his clothes when Jungkook placed a large jewelry box in front of him. He stared at the box then turned his face at his husband. "What's this, Kookie?"

"Open it, Taetae." Jungkook sat beside him.

Taehyung gently opened the jewelry box. His eyes beamed and his face had a look of pure delight because inside the box were gorgeous jewelry from necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets. "Wow! These are beautiful. But why are there too many of them? Are you spoiling me with gifts now?"

"Taetae, these are the gifts I got for you after my family moved to Busan. My mind forgot about you but my heart never did. I collected these gifts when I had amnesia having no idea to whom I was supposed to give them but when I regained my memories, I realized they are for you, my heart." Jungkook held his chin and pecked his lips. "I love you, my Taetae."

Taehyung hugged him and rested his head on his chest. A warm feeling nestled in his heart knowing his husband deeply loves him.

It's been eight months since Jungkook and Taehyung got married. The omega was in his last trimester and was expected to give birth to their first baby. They will have a baby girl and the grandparents are already excited to see her.

Jungkook's parents bought the villa across from Jin's. Jungwon said that it's not healthy for Taehyung to travel frequently since he's pregnant.

The couple decided to stay in the villa with Jin and Namjoon while Jungkook's parents often visit them.

The baby's room is all set-up. Jin and Jungwon were the ones who worked on their granddaughter's nursery. Jin and Namjoon bought the crib while the Jeon couple got the stroller and high chair. The toys were from Nari and Yoonmin. Jungkook designed the room while Taehyung was the one who chose and bought the baby's clothes. Hoseok was in charge of the nappies.

Jungkook has been spoiling his pregnant mate to the core. He lessened his time in the company especially when Taehyung was nearing his estimated due date. He constantly massages the omega's aching feet and back. He feeds him nutritious snacks every now and then.

It was midnight when Taehyung felt the pain of contraction in his belly and lower back signaling the onset of labour. He shook his sleeping husband to wake him up. "K-kookie, wake up. Our pup, she's coming."

Jungkook jolted from the bed as his sleepiness vanished and was replaced with a panic expression. He paced back and forth in their room, not knowing what to do first. "We should go to the hospital right now. Come, Taetae. I'll prepare the car." He spoke in a breeze catching his breath.

"Kookie, calm down and breathe. Get dressed first, you're naked and only in your boxers. We don't want people at the hospital to thirst over you before attending to me." Taehyung joked but his face contorted in pain.

"Sorry, my heart." Jungkook said as he got a pair of sweatpants and a black shirt from the closet.

"Kookie, go wake up Papa and Dad. Tell them I'm about to give birth to their granddaughter." Taehyung muttered holding his baby bump.

Jungkook quickly stepped out of the room and knocked on Namjoon's room. Jin opened the door and wasted no time informing Namjoon that Taehyung is in labour.

Namjoon assigned himself as the driver while Jin and Jungkook sat beside Taehyung.

When they arrived at the hospital, Dr. Song was already there waiting for them. She and her team immediately prepared Taehyung for the C-section. Jungkook wore a surgical mask and gown before he entered the operating room. He didn't let go of Taehyung's hand as the doctor and nurses prepared him for the procedure. Taehyung was given an epidural anesthesia before the doctor started the procedure.
