T/W: Fighting & Self-hurt
--
Footsteps could be heard coming towards the room. Light knocks filled the silence. Loki walked slowly into the room seeing a figure of a lady lying on the bed. [Y/N] was still stuck in the same position as before- body facing the large window, away from the door. She noticed the sounds and knew it was Loki from the steps he took and that familiar oud scent.
"Get out." just as Loki was about to speak, [Y/N] interrupted with her muffled voice, throat sore from all the crying.
Loki did not want to leave. After all had happened, he felt it was his responsibility to make things right. Knowing [Y/N] was not ready, he waited until she was, even if it meant he would need to leave at any time. He closed the door and sat on the floor of the corner of her room since he felt like he was not worthy of even a chair. He started to wait as his eyes roamed around [Y/N]'s room. As [Y/N] heard the door, her eyes gradually shifted upwards to see the sky outside. Numb. All her feelings went away while she was trying to process her grief.
---
Time passes by and the sun slowly starts to set. The moon was slightly visible and small stars started to appear, fading away behind the clouds. Loki was still there waiting.
Every night, back when [Y/N] first heard about the devastating news about Loki, she would always seek comfort from the stars in the skies. To cope with her grief, she believed that each star holds the souls of the departed.
Out of a sudden, a light sound of bells could be heard. It was [Y/N]'s bracelet. She started to get up from her bed. As she turned around, her eyes were greeted by a familiar figure sitting in the corner of her room. She frowned, feeling startled and annoyed that he was still there.
"Uh, I," Loki gets up immediately. Everything he planned to say to [Y/N] went blank when he saw her.
[Y/N] sighed and moved her blanket away so that she could get out of her bed. Her body aches from staying in the same position for a long time. Once she took one step forward, her legs gave up. Her body, now no longer supported by her legs, crumbled down. Loki rushed and broke the fall. [Y/N] started to struggle out of Loki's embrace.
"I told you to get out." [Y/N] said firmly as she tried to shove Loki away.
Loki knew she was weak so he tried his best to keep her in his arms.
"[Y/N] could you please listen to me for just one second," Loki said in the sweetest tone.
"Listen to you for one second?! Have YOU ever listened to me?! Enough. Just-" [Y/N] raised her voice in frustration but was disrupted by a loud bang from outside.
"[Y/N] DO NOT STEP OUT OF YOUR ROOM!!" Tony's voice could be heard from afar.
Both Loki and [Y/N] were startled by the noises from outside. Sounds of fighting could be heard. Realising danger was imminent, [Y/N] pushed Loki away and used every strength she had to stand up. She went to a nearby shelf filled with books and shoved a stack of books away. Her hand then reached out for a dagger. [Y/N] flung the door open and went out. Still feeling weak, she held the walls as she tried to race to see what was going on. Loki followed suit but stopped at the door as he knew that the soldiers from the Time Variance Authority (TVA) were here to get him and correct the timeline.
