Dear hero,

I have no idea how to put this into words, but I'll try my best. Today you said you wanted to be a hero. You said that it was the one thing you wanted to be, ever since you were a child. You started crying, and told us how you didn't have any special talents. You said you couldn't write poems, you couldn't write stories, you couldn't draw. And the way you said it, you were resigned to it. You cried some more, and someone went over to hug you. You cried in her arms, and held her tight. You cried into her chest, for she was much taller than you. You thanked her for the hug, and she knew that you really needed it. You pulled yourself together. You stopped crying. You were given a perfect mark for your raw emotion. She still thinks about the way you held her, like you were clinging for dear life, and she was the silver cord that saved you from falling. It scared her, how fragile you were. She was taken aback by the way you crumbled. She was glad she hugged you, glad she was able to save you. And she'd like to apologize. She is unsure why, but she'd like to apologize. She hopes to rebuild you, too. And above all, she hopes that you be kind to yourself.
