my friends are
sharp lines,
sure edges,
bold pencil marks.
steady,
never hesitant.
they are
solid, strong, unwavering.
i am
too light,
floating strokes,
uneven spaces.
shaky,
unsure and never quite right.
i am
quiet, soft, apologetic.
