As a thirteen year old who is 5'7, I always get the "You're so tall" comment before anything else. Nobody bothers to notice the other things I can do, its always my height. Like, hey, I write too. Hey, I paint. Hey, I draw. Hey, I get good grades. It irritates me, how its always just my height, and it's the first thing that comes to mind when you discuss me. Why can't I be known as the girl who can write? Or draw? Or has a cool music taste?
Second, a lot of people say they want my height, and in all honesty, they can have it. I'd like to be a few inches shorter, if you don't mind. Because it isn't great to be so tall when you're got anxiety, and all you want to do is be as small and inconspicious as possible, but that isn't easy, because you always stick out. And it scares me a lot, because when I walk into a room, I'm always noticable, just because I am a skyscraper.
