Oh shit! Oh shit! Oh SHIT! Henry was running and panting along the pavement. Behind him, were a bunch of screaming girls chasing him and he didn't know where to go.
Damn it! Henry rushed inside the hotel and hurriedly pushed the elevator button repeatedly. The sight of the girls and their screams can now be heard and he doesn't have time to wait. He hurriedly took the stairs.
How come they run so fast?! Henry can see them one flight of stairs behind him. Shit, I can't go to my room now. It's on the 10th floor. He was on the 5th floor and remembered Amanda's room was on that floor. Oh well.
Amanda was rewriting her novel, scratching her head for the last hour, disliking the whole concept of the novel. Something's off. I don't like everything here at all. She was staring at her laptop when there was a knock on the door. It was not just a soft and gentle knock, but rather hard, fast and desperate knocks.
Amanda got her Swiss army knife Gorgy gave to her from her bag. She pointed the knife towards the door, gripping the handle tightly before and then opened the door with great caution. The moment it was opened, Henry Hudson swiftly went inside and closed the door, leaning on it, panting heavily.
"That was-HEY! Don't kill me!" Henry raised his hands in surrender the moment he turned around to face Amanda only to see the sharp knife pointing at him.
"What are you doing here?" Gripping the knife even harder, "If people will find out you're here, both of our worlds would be in greater chaos than we are already in."
"I...was being chased by a mob." Henry said, catching his breath, bending down.
"Really." Amanda said, suspiciously. She narrowed her eyes at him, still holding the knife at him.
"I swear. I was at a party and while I was about to get to my car, there they were, waiting for me. When they spotted me---the crazy man chase began. I think they're going to come any minute, so please, let me stay here for a while." He pleaded as he closed his eyes, catching his breath.
Amanda looked at Henry, all sweaty and panting, and it seems like he was telling the truth. She dropped the knife, placed them on her table and folded her arms together and stared at Henry.
Henry leaned on the door and looked at Amanda and chuckled, still panting heavily. "I'm so glad James told me your room number."
"Hmm. It got you really good. Why end up here?"
"You think I got time to run on the 10th floor? Those crazy people are so fast in running. Like a cheetah or leopard chasing on its dinner" Henry slid down on the floor, still leaning on the door.
Amanda looked at him, noticed he was really panting heavily. And for that moment she thought that he still looks good sweaty. She shook her head to wave away the dark thoughts, turned around and continued revising her novel.
"New novel?"Henry asked.
"Yup." Amanda began to type some words but eventually, furiously erased them.
"How's it coming?"
"Not really good. There's--I don't know. I find it quite boring." She stared at him, both her hands gripping on her frizzled hair.
"Well, maybe you should find another concept."
Amanda looked sharply at Henry. "Excuse me?"
"A new one. Something that is off to your comfort zone. Something that writes about independent, smart and classy women."
