"Hello! Good evening! Good evening, folks!" the female host waved at her audience and sat at a leather arm chair. "Am I glad that there are so many of you today." The audience replied with a cheer.
"I wouldn't wonder, really. Tonight's guest is a famous one. Very famous. She is an author of romantic novels and had one of her novels being made into a movie. I myself is a fan of her novels. Please help me, welcome: Amanda Adams!"
The audience cheered when they saw Amanda coming out. She smiled at the audience and as she reached the female host, they shook each other's hands and gave a kiss at each other's cheeks.
"Wow, aren't you beautiful tonight? Isn't she beautiful tonight?" the female host asked the audience.
Amanda exhaled as she stood up straight. She felt beautiful with her white A-line dress tonight and her white wedges.
"Simple but elegant. Love it!"
"Thank you."
"To begin, congratulations on your newest novel." the female host said. "It was another hit. Reaches 2 million copies in the first day of release-I even brought one myself. And, from any other novels you've written, this one is very different. Why the change? Why the sudden change of concept?"
"Well, I believe that women of today have stand to a different level. We are influential beings. We are strong and inspirational. We are models and with that, the spotlight should turned to us now."
"That is true. We are indeed influential beings. This novel truly showed a strong woman that refuses to believe to undefined phenomenons because science existed. But then, an artist showed her a different perspective of destiny and even of life. That's what makes everything truly beautiful."
"There are those people that existed to make us change our way thinking. Changing our beliefs."
"Speaking of changes, you yourself have experience change too, isn't it?"
Amanda gave out a chuckle. "Yes. That's right."
"Did it also inspire you to have an ultimate change of your manner of writing?"
"Inspire is indeed the term. Yes. It inspired me."
"Do you mean Henry Hudson, too?" the females host was smiling widely.
"I admit-yes. A bigger part of him contributed." the audience gave out a clapped and Amanda saw their faces that they were happy too. "Not only to my works but to my life also."
"Even outside the novel? I know the whole story of you two and how you two began to fell for-I mean, it was really romantic!"
Amanda smiled. "It was crazy." She remembered it perfectly what has happened a year ago.
"I know you wanted to be at his premiere tonight-I heard it is also today right? Yes-congratulations to that as well! Your first novel to turned to a movie."
"Thank you."
"Which I also believe was the beginning of your real life love story."
"It was unexpected but-it happened."
"By the way, having a title of the Modern Jane Austen-what are your thoughts?"
"I couldn't even believe it. Honestly. Jane Austen has been my favorite author and to be name that is such an honor. Because of her, my writings have been this way."
"It was delightful talking to you, Amanda Adams. Please, give an applause to Ms. Amanda Adams."
The audience gave an applause to Amanda as she smiled at them.
"Book signing at Seattle this October. An interview at CBS channel this Monday..."Gorgy was reading Amanda's schedules inside the car as they head towards her apartment. "You're getting busy."
"I know. You know, I miss my life back then. But then, I enjoy doing this too."
"Well, I'm just glad you're happy with your new life now. I just hope you're having quality time with Henry."
"Oh yes. He always make sure we do." She said it with a smile. A vibration on her phone stopped their conversation. It was a call from Henry. "Hey."
"Your interview done for tonight?" Henry asked from the other side.
"Yeah. I am about to go home."
"Well, you aren't. I'll meet you at Central Park. By the Bow Bridge."
She looked at Gorgy, wondering what could Henry be planning then. Gorgy gave her a grin and wave at her to go. "Y-yeah. I'll see you."
"Date?" Gorgy asked after Amanda ended the call.
"I don't know." Amanda smiled and the same time, wondering.
The night was cool as Amanda walked by Central Park with her white dress and wedges. She saw there were people around walking too-either alone or with another person. Her phone vibrated in her phone and she answered it.
"Are you almost there?" the caller asked.
"Yes. I'm almost there. I could see the Bow Bridge." Amanda said, under her smile, thinking about the events that happened at this place exactly a year ago. There were yellow lights again, by the riverbanks. She was still on the phone as she stepped on the bridge and she saw Henry with his black suit, a phone on his ear, already looking at her, smiling.
"Let me guess. You set this up again." Amanda said, still on the phone, walking slowly towards Henry.
"Well, we can't go out in New York City with all those people. You already know that."
"Yeah. I know."
"I'm trying to make this as casual as I can." Henry said. He knows Amanda doesn't like going to restaurants or cliche' dates. She just wants it casual and simple and just the two of them.
"I know. I like it when you try hard."
"Of course you do." He placed the phone down when Amanda stopped in front of him. "Hi."
"Hi." Amanda smiled at him. She angled her head when she saw the ice cream stall behind Henry.
"I'm in a mood for ice cream." Henry said, looking at the stall. He held her hand and headed towards the ice cream stall.
"Vanilla for me."
"I know." Henry smiled before planting a kiss on Amanda's head as they both enjoyed the night with conversations, laughter, intimacy, their ice cream and each other.
