The weekend means that Harry and Louis can finally do something together. Louis likes Zayn, but he likes Harry better. He likes how sweet Harry is toward him. He likes when Harry feeds him because he has yet to master utensils. He likes when he tucks him in at night. He likes that someone cares enough to ask if he had a goodnight's rest.
Similarly, Harry likes having Louis around. Louis is great company. He's always excited when Harry arrives home from work. Louis always greets him with a hug. Louis likes to cuddle with Harry when they watch movies or just tv in general. Louis is just a great person to sit with and admire. He's always just so curious. Harry couldn't ask for anyone else.
Harry is woken up by Louis jumping on his legs. He's bouncing excitedly, shouting for Harry to wake up, because they finally have the day to themselves.
"Ok I'll get up I'll get up." Harry finally replies. However, instead of making a move to shift out of bed, he turns over, stuffing his face into the pillow. Louis pouts and moves up further on Harry's long limbed body. He sits on Harry's back, legs straddling his torso. He bends down to speak in Harry's ear.
"Harry time to wake up. No more sleep." Louis scolds, poking Harry in the back as he talks. Harry giggles, the poking tickling his skin. But he obliges by turning over with Louis still on him. Now Louis straddles his front. Harry just smiles, hands coming up to rest on Louis thighs.
"Ok I'm up for real. Now let me get up so I can make breakfast." Louis squeals and moves off. He runs out of the room, probably to turn the tv on. Harry just giggles again and finally climbs out of bed. He gets dressed quickly and he walks through the hall into the kitchen. He takes out the waffle iron and makes quick work of breakfast. By the time Harry's finishing up the last waffle, Louis skips into the room.
Louis is dressed in a onesie. It was originally Harry's but it was the wrong size, and Harry never bothered to return it. So now Louis wears it as he prances around, ready to eat. Harry has to admit, he's glad he never got rid of it because Louis looks incredibly adorable in the grayish jumpsuit. Louis finally takes a seat, waiting for Harry so they can eat together.
Harry finally finishes and sits, already having placed a waffle on their plates. He also set out a glass of milk for Louis and orange juice for himself. It's a silent breakfast, each still a bit groggy to really talk. It's comfortable silence so they don't mind. A half hour later the waffles are gone and Harry cleans up, moving the plates to the sink. As he washes the dishes, he looks outside. It looks really nice out today. Its days like this that Harry wants to spend most of his day outside. He likes to just sit outside, and read or take photos. He decides that's exactly what he wants to do today. And this time Louis can accompany him. He turns to tell Louis, since he still sits at the table.
"Hey Louis, I know what we're going to day today." Louis stares at him intently, urging him to go on. "We're going to the park." Louis smiles wide. This will be the first time he goes outside with someone other than one of the workers at the shelter. They were all mean and never let him do anything. Louis bounces excitedly in his seat. "How about you go get ready and I finish up here." Louis nods and he's off.
Harry washes up all the dishes and dries his hands. He goes into the living room and turns the tv off. He goes to the front hall and pulls on his shoes. He's grabbing his keys when Louis comes back out. He's dressed in one of Harry's shirts. He wears his own pants and he has the new pairs of vans on his feet. Harry smiles at how cute Louis looks in his shirt.
"Louis ready." He chirps. Harry opens the door and they walk out. Harry thinks about taking his car, but then figures it would be better to walk. So he takes Louis hand and guides them to the park. He just doesn't want Louis to get lost. It has nothing to do with how they're hands seem to fit together perfectly. Louis blushes at the action. Harry's hand feels really warm in Louis'. He likes that feeling.
Fifteen minutes later, Harry sits in the shade of a tree as he watches Louis run around the flowers. Louis has taken off his shoes and is running around the flowers barefoot. He likes the feeling of the grass on his bare feet. Harry brought his camera along and takes a few pictures of the flowers. He mostly takes photos of Louis. He just can't help but want to freeze this moment in time. The hybrid looks so content with being out in the fresh air.
About an hour later, Louis has grown tired of running around and comes to sit at Harry's side. He leans his head on Harry's shoulder. Harry puts his arm around Louis and pulls him close to his side.
"You having fun kitten." He asks. Louis nods tiredly. "Aww is my kitten tired." Louis smiles at the fact that Harry called him his and nods again. "Well how about you take a nap." Louis cuddles closer, getting more comfortable. He dozes off within minutes.
=O=o=O=
Louis wakes up about two hours later. Harry had pulled out a book so he was reading while the boy slept. Louis yawns and pulls away slightly to stretch. Harry notices the movement and turns to see that Louis has woken up. He moves his arm so Louis can pull away enough to look up t Harry. He smiles and then notices the book in his hands.
"What Harry reading?" He asked. Harry leaves his hand in the book as he closes it to show Louis the cover.
"It's called Romeo & Juliet." He opens the book back up. "It's a story about forbidden love. It's a classic. I like reading it even though I've read it numerous times before." Louis likes that Harry is sharing small things about his life with him.
"Can Harry read to Louis?" Harry smiles, gladly picking up where he left off. They spend a while reading, until Harry notices that it's nearing sunset. He loves this part of the day, and he wants to show Louis one of his favorite places to admire it from. He guides Louis to a swing set that rests at the heart of the park. He tells Louis to sit down and Harry stands behind him.
"I'm going to push it slightly ok. I want you to see the sun." Louis nods, securing his hands on the chains next to him. Harry starts out slow, making sure Louis doesn't topple off. Once he's sure nothing's going to happen. He pushes a bit harder. Louis goes higher each time, and soon he's watching the sun slowly making it's descent. It looks beautiful. Louis stares at the mixing colors surrounding the sun, watching until it finally fades, only leaving small amounts of light to flicker into the early night.
"Pretty." Louis declares as Harry pulls him to a stop. With only the slight moonlight, Harry thinks Louis is a beautiful sight as well. He wants to say as much, but he feels like that might be too weird.
"Pretty indeed." Harry says meaning to refer to the sunset, but not taking his eyes off of Louis. Louis is oblivious, still staring into the distance. Harry finally comes back to his sense and realizes that it is indeed late. "We should get going." He tells Louis. Louis obliges, standing and following Harry as they begin their walk back. Harry takes Louis' hand in his again, and maybe this time it's for a different reason.
