His heartbeat was loud, he knew that, and it was because he was nervous with you in such close proximity to him. The entire date, you'd been shivering, so finally he opened his arms, telling you to come into his warm coat with him. You'd wrapped your arms around his waist and burrowed your nose into his chest as you both tried to walk back down the road to your house. Due to the cold, you invited him in for some coffee, which he knew was usually code for something else, but with you, he felt that your offer was a genuine one. With the coffee in hand, you cuddled up next to him on the couch, his heartbeat spiking again when your head fell on his shoulder. In no time at all, you'd fallen asleep, the coffee cup dangerously close to spilling out of your hands, so he moved it onto the nearest table, leaving his there as well, and then he picked you up in his arms, carrying you to your bedroom. Your body had barely touched the mattress before you woke back up, latching onto his hand.
"Stay." you demanded, pulling him onto the bed with you and tucking yourself into his side.
