Lily POV

So I went to bed as soon as we got to the common room, because I couldn't stand myself thinking any longer. It was becoming painful that my subconscious thoughts had started calling James James and... oh great I called him James again. What was happening to me? The answer to that question was... absolutely no idea. I drifted off into an uneasy sleep, where my dreams were no better than what was happening currently.

*Lily's Dream*

It was late at night, and there I was patrolling the same corridor that had rid us of our classes. The corridor was filled with dim torches which hung on black brackets that were covered in dust. Just across the corridor, there a giant tapestry of a snake, an obvious giveaway that it was their common room entry. I walked up and down the corridor continuously, ignoring the way the open window made the tapestry ruffle every once in a while. I'm not gonna lie, down near the Slytherin common was creepy. I couldn't even imagine what it was like in there. Actually I could, because I had imagined many times. I had seen the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff common rooms, because I had friends from there. But never the Slytherin common room. I could imagine steps leading down further into a large dark room with black studded couches with green pillows, and dark wooden tables covered with parchment and books. There would probably be some portrait of the Bloody Baron, and Salazar Slytherin, along with some other great wizards from their house. I imagined a blue fire, because that makes absolute sense, and two large centrepiece windows which overlooked the bottom of the Black Lake.

I heard the patter of heavy footsteps and pulled my wand out of my robes. I turned to find a bloody James and beaten Sirius. I asked them what happened, but they weren't exactly perfect at explaining. Then the tapestry fell down and Snape appeared.

*

The OWLs dragged on forever. I looked up from my paper, seeing Potter give a smile to Black. Honestly what morons. They were just plain stupid, even though they may have good marks. Eventually we got out of the room, handing our OWLs to Flitwick, and heading for open air and freedom. Marlene, Alice, Mary and a few other girls from our year headed toward the lake, where we put our feet into the water, just chilling out and laughing. Then, like I knew something was going to happen, I looked instinctively at the Marauders.

"All right, Snivellus?" Potter said.

He reached for his wand, but Potter had already disarmed him. I know this was only a part of my dream, but looking back on this scene, I couldn't help but look at James' perspective.

"How'd the exam go, Snivelly?"

"I was watching him, his nose was touching the parchment," Sirius said almost viciously, "There'll be great grease marks all over it, they won't be able to read a word."

At this point I noticed that Snape was indeed very greasy. I found myself wondering how often he had had a shower. He was currently trying to escape the binds of the impedimenta jinx, saying;

"You - wait. You - wait!"

"Wait for what? What're you going to do, Snivelly, wipe you nose on us?" Sirius said.

Snape chose this moment to let out a bunch of choice curses, when James pulled a joke.

"Wash out your mouth. Scourgify."

Then I appeared.

"Leave him ALONE!"

James' spare hand jumped to his hair, and I subconsciously rolled my eyes. Little prick.

"All right, Evans?"

"Leave him alone. What's he done to you?"

"Well," James began, "it's more the point that he exists, if you know what I mean."

I immediately felt bad for Snape.

"You think your funny, but you're just an arrogant, bullying toe-rag, Potter. Leave him alone."

James' face flashed with hurt. I then felt bad for him.

"I will if you go out with me, Evans," he recovered, "Go on... go out with me and I'll never lay a wand on old Snivelly again."

I refused to even listen to the next bit, because I knew what happened. Only when I heard my voice again saying, did I decide to look back upon the scene;

"Let him down."

"Certainly."

"Petrificus Totalus."

"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" I bellowed.

"Ah, Evans don't make me hex you."

I looked at myself take a step towards James.

"Take the curse off him, then!"

"There you go," he said, "You're lucky Evans was here, Snivellus-,"

"I don't need help from a filthy mudblood like her."

*End of Dream*

I woke up drenched in sweat, that same moment plaguing me, replaying in my head. I felt like screaming, but didn't, instead slipping out of my bed into my dressing gown and walking down to the common room. I sat down on the couch, watching the fire twist and turn in a spectacular display. I lay there for what seemed like hours for every passing minute. Until I heard a small shuffling of feet behind me. I turned around to find James standing there, bewildered.

"How long have you been - ," we chorused.

"I've only been here for about two minutes," he said.

"I lost track of time," I said, "coz I went to bed when we got back from dinner."

"So why are you down here?"

"Well... my dream turned into a nightmare and then reminded me of a day I wasn't so happy about, then I came down here. What about you?"

"Well... I thought I heard something, so I decided to check it out."

"Really?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Yeah," he shrugged, sitting himself down at the end of my feet.

"Make yourself at home why don't ya," I said sarcastically.

"Yeah, why not?"

I rolled my eyes.

"So, Evans... happy with how I got rid of Snape for you today?"

I smirked.

"Yeah, please if you're available to help out like that again, don't refrain yourself."

"It's still my fault."

"No it's not, James."

His head snapped towards mine. Oh shite.... I called him James. Why must hormones go and confuse my life? I'm supposed to yell at this guy, not talk with him. Supposed to call him Potter, not James. Supposed to hate him, not like him. What was happening to me? I asked myself for the third time this week. I sat upright, and felt like leaning my head on James' shoulder.

"I think we're becoming friends..." James said.

"You know, I wouldn't mind a shoulder to lean on right now," I joked.

"Go for it."

I looked up to see if he was joking, but he was dead serious. (AN: Not intended as a joke, coz the only good Sirius is an alive one.) I moved closer, and closed my eyes putting my head on his shoulder, letting him wrap his arms around my waist as I wrapped mine around his torso.

AN: Ok... wow. Just wow. I already have another 14+ reads on this book! WTF?! Also I added a little bit of Jily fluff coz I could. Also the photo is what I'm like to Snily shippers! Anyways, two updates in one day, plz be proud of me. The Chooper out!
