I headed over to the doctor's office with Eren and checked into the waiting room.
"Hello, Armin! How are you today?" said the lady that was always at the front desk.
"I'm doing well."
"What brings you here?"
"I'm here for my second monthly Testosterone checkup." The lady went through the list on her clipboard and found me.
"Ah, yes. Dr. Hanji will be out for you shortly." I smiled, thanked her, and went to sit in the waiting room with Eren. Eren twiddled with his thumbs and picked up a pamphlet about parenting.
"Look at all the babies," I looked over at the pamphlet that Eren was reading and laughed.
"You're really excited, aren't you?" Eren smiled.
"Yeah," Eren smiled at me with his teeth. "I really am."
"Armin?" Eren and I stood up and followed Hanji's voice. "Hey, Armin!" They greeted me with a big smile, so I smiled back at them. "What's up? Anything new?" I nodded.
"Yeah, actually, we have pretty big news." Hanji made a sound that showed excitement.
"Tell me all about it!" They closed the door to their office and sat down.
"Well," I sat on the patient's table in their room and smiled widely. "I'm pregnant," Hanji gasped and smiled with their mouth open.
"Oh my god, really? That's awesome! I'm assuming Eren's the other father, am I correct?" I laughed and nodded. "Haha, I hoped so."
"When the baby's ready to be born, I'm going to have a c-section, so is it okay if I stay on Testosterone or do I have to go off of it until the baby's born?" Hanji had an immediate answer.
"You can stay on Testosterone if you have a C-Section. But if for some reason you change your mind and choose to give birth regularly, then you'll have to go off of it. I personally recommend having the C-Section because your hips would double in size and your chest will get pretty big and I know you don't want that," I nodded.
"Yeah, I'm definitely having a C-Section." Hanji nodded.
"So, Armin, how's your physical transition going?"
"Pretty well. I am so hungry all the time, though, haha." Hanji laughed.
"Yeah, that's pretty normal, do you have a scratchy throat at all?" I nodded.
"Yeah it's been really itchy," Hanji smiled.
"That's good! That means that your vocal chords are stretching out and you'll get that low voice soon."
"Yay!" Hanji put some of my Testosterone into a needle.
"Would you rather have me stab you in your ass or in your thigh?"
"My thigh," Hanji walked towards me with the needle.
"Alright. You'll need to pull down your pants a little." I slid my trousers down so she could inject me.
"Wait, I want to do it." Hanji handed me the needle.
"Alright. You can stab yourself right there. Just pull the end back and then take the needle out." I nodded my head, stuck the needle in, pulled back the nozzle, and pulled the needle out of my skin.
"That was fun!" Hanji laughed.
"Come back when you're three months pregnant so we can check for the heartbeat," I nodded and waved to them.
"Thanks, Hanji!" Hanji waved at us and closed their office door behind them.
Eren and I walked to our car and drove home.
