Leone's boots echoed against the cracked pavement as he approached the row of massive, ghostly warehouses. The buildings loomed over them, their rusted metal walls and cracked windows casting long shadows in the dimming light of the afternoon. The air was thick with a musty, stagnant scent, the kind that seemed to seep from forgotten places left to decay in silence.
Mista and Narancia, trudging behind him, could hardly contain their complaints. Narancia was practically bouncing on his heels, his voice rising with impatience.
"Man, I can't take this anymore! Why'd we have to lug these boxes all the way out here? Just let us finish up and go home already!" Narancia whined, fidgeting with the strap of his bag as if it could somehow speed things up.
Mista, though quieter, was no less agitated. "I get it, I get it. I just want to sit down and relax, maybe catch a game. The sooner we get this over with, the better."
Leone said nothing, his expression unreadable as he scanned the darkened silhouettes of the warehouses, his eyes sharp. This was the place. The instructions had been clear, and he wasn't about to let Mista and Narancia's bickering distract him. Fugo stopped his walking many feet ahead, looking at the paper in hand, then the warehouse number, then back.
They reached the correct warehouse, the number on the door matching their orders. Without a word, he dropped the heavy box in front of the door, the thud of it on the concrete breaking the eerie silence.
