"Freddie Garrett ... 21 years old... graduated in bla , lives at bla bla" Grace gave a sigh and flipped through the other profile on her desk

"Liam Harris... 25 years old.. bla bla. Nothing interesting, really" she murmured

"Life is horrible, and weird... Since the day I heard about Eric's plan , another bomb has exploded in my heart shattering it. How could he do that? At least he could've informed me, asked me, gave me a hint! But totally blind me to it?... Chris isn't making it any better, and that foolish trainee who won't stop gluing herself to him and rubbing her filthy fur on his legs like an unloyal wicked cat! Why isn't he complaining? He seems to not care... or does he like it? I am not going to be fooled anymore..." She recalled what she wrote earlier in her diary with a grim face before there was a knock on the door.

"Come in"

Liam entered the room, seeming really bored that he didn't bother to say any greetings

"These are transactions for the recent asset purchases in the journal."

"Morning to you too"

Liam glanced at her uncomprehendingly then looked back to the papers he's about to hand in

"Revised them couple of times, so I don't assume you'll find any mistakes. Take them and search anyway." He placed the papers on her desk

Grace took the papers silently before thanking him. He didn't respond and headed back to the door

"I could cause you troubles by the way!" she said loudly, yet he still gave no reply and closed the door behind him as he left
"Arrogant" she mumbled hatefully.

Grace stepped out of a taxi as she paid the driver and he left. She looked at the large stone-built house narrowing her eyes before she took out her mobile and dialed Eric's number.

"Hello Grace!" he answered

"Hey! How's everything?"

"Fine. Having fun working again I guess?"

Grace bit her lip as she answered "Yeah"

"Great."

"So I am on my way, home yet?"

Eric paused for a moment enough for Grace to imagine his face, causing her to smirk evilly

"Actually" he hesitated "I am a little occupied today"

"What? But I am almost here. Occupied by what?"

"Meeting an old friend"

"Old friend, sure" she rolled her eyes "Look I arrived anyway. See you" she hang up quickly before he could argue.

Grace stepped up to the doorstep and rang the bell , and instantly the door swung open.

"Seriously Grace you could've.... Wow" Eric's jaw dropped at the sight of Grace.

She was wearing a flowing off-white dress that made her look like an angel. He never saw her hair styled in such a way! Her hair was pinned up her head in a beautiful work of art that he couldn't describe. And her face, he admired the beauty that was glowing perfectly from it and then he suddenly felt guilty.
