Talia's POV

I can't believe she said yes! I'm so happy she said yes! Last night and this morning were so perfect! That's how I want my life with her, just us two, together. Doesn't matter where, as long as we're together, I'll be happy.

But now that we're both late, we'll get in trouble. Yes, even a teacher gets in trouble when she's late. I went to the office and saw Leah standing there, she had to give her school agenda to let it write in. Her parents would have to sign it. But because she's 18 now, she can sign it herself, thank God for that.

"Good morning, Talia, you're late as well." Mrs.Huber, the secretary for this school, said.

I turned to look at her. "Yeah, I overslept." I said as I took my stuff for today.

She was still busy writing it in Leah's agenda. "You're not the only one." she said as she motioned to Leah.

I smiled at her and saw Leah was trying to hold her smile. "Yeah, it happens." I said as I had everything, including my coffee. "Well bye."

"Yeah, bye." she said and gave Leah her agenda back. That's when I saw Leah leave to her class.

I quickly went to my class, on my way over there, I saw my friends. They were also getting to their class, but didn't seem to be in a hurry.

"Hey Talia!" Heather said excited while waving at me.

I turned around to looked at them, they all walked to me. "Hey."

"Well you're late." Mary said while Heather was looking me up and down, she must notice something isn't right.

"Yeah, I overslept." I simply said.

"That happens to us too, don't worry." Charlotte said and smiled reassuring to me.

I smiled back but couldn't help to notice Heather looking at me. "Is there something wrong?"

"Not really, it's just..." she came closer and suddenly touched my neck with her finger. "Why do you have a hickey?" she asked as she got the biggest smile ever.

I quickly covered my neck. "What? It it visible? Is it huge?"

They all smiled and nodded. "Come on Talia, when do we get to meet that girl?" Mary asked.

"Yeah, it's been a few years now." Charlotte said.

"Actually two years, two months and eleven days." I said while they all gasped. "What?"

"You've been with her for that long and we haven't even met her?" Heather asked and shook her head. "You have to let us meet her."

I sighed deep, I really wanted them to meet her, maybe there was a way that they'd accept us. But I had to find a way to know for sure first. "Listen, we're already late, let's talk about this later, alright?"

They all huffed but nodded. "We'll see you during lunch?"

"Count on it." I said and left for class.

________________________________

Classes went as usual, nobody cared about Math, except a few maybe. I think it's sad no one's even listening, didn't they know how to respect people? I had at least expect some respect...

And these classes weren't even the hardest. It's hard to say but Leah's class is the hardest, they don't even care I'm there. They don't even look at me, it doesn't matter to them. Fortunately I have Leah during that, someone who's willing to listen.

Thinking about that made me sigh deep. "Hey Talia, what's wrong?" Heather asked as she and Mary and Charlotte took a seat at our table.

"Nothing, I was thinking about classes."

Heather caressed my arm. "Is it still going so bad?"

I nodded.

"You should take control." Charlotte said. It's easier said than done, she was a really severe teacher. She didn't care about feelings, so everyone listened. I admire that, but I don't want to sound like we're in the army here.

"I'll think about it." I said as I ate some more.

They all looked at each other before looking at me. "We actually are hoping you'd talk about your girl." Heather said, smiling big.

"Right." I said and tried to find a way to talk about it. "Well what do you need to know?"

"A name." Heather said quickly. "So we at least know how to refer to her."

I gulped, I couldn't say Leah's name, can I? But then again, how many Leah's can there be on this planet...? I just went for it. "Leah."

They all looked at me and nodded. "See, was that so hard?" Heather asked while pinching my cheek.

"Auw!" I said and hit her hands away. "No."

"How old is she?" Mary asked, smiling. She seemed genuinely interested.

I gulped, what now? "She's... 23." I said the first thing that came to mind.

"So when you two met, she was like 21... Where did you two meet then?" Charlotte asked. All these questions!

"Just around town." I said, looking down, taking another bite of my sandwich. It's now that I noticed I had Leah's lunch. She must have my lunch. It actually made me smile.

"And what does she do, as job?" Heather asked. "Oh and does she live with you?"

I gulped once again. "She's a..." what did she want to become when she was older...? O right! "She's a teacher, in another school."

They all nodded, as if they'd like what they heard. "And does she live with you?"

I nodded, not even thinking about my answer.

"Sweet, we can see her at your house once." Heather said, smiling big.

My eyes widened. "Nope, not going to happen."

"Why not?" Mary asked.

"Yeah, it seems as if there's something going on with her. Does she do illegal stuff?" Charlotte asked.

"Yeah, that must be the reason why we can't see her." Heather said, looking shocked.

"No, she's fine, I just don't want you all to meet her yet."

They all sighed. "Talia, you're saying that for the past two years..." Heather said sighing deep, looking sad. "When is it time?"

I shrugged. "I don't know." They all looked down. "Come on, sheer up, it's not the end of the world."

"It's just sad you don't want to talk about her." Mary said.

I sighed deep. "What more do you want to know? I already told you everything."

They all looked at me. "Oh yeah, you think that? We haven't even seen her. Can we at least see a picture?" Heather asked.

"Maybe she's made up. Maybe she's fake." Charlotte said.

Heather looked at Charlotte and afterwards at me. "Does she exists? Or is it your imagination?"

"No, she's real, very real. I just don't want to let you all see her." I said, looking down. "But I promise you'll all see her... Eventually..."
