"How are you feeling?" Grace asked at lunch. "You know, with the whole Dan thing."

I shrugged. "Better."

"Have you spoken?"

I shook my head.

"But you've spoken to Caleb." Bella smirked.

"What?"

"I saw you two yesterday at break. He came to sit with you." Bella told me.

I nodded. "I was waiting for you two, and Caleb saw me being a bit off in French so he came to check up on me."

"Dan didn't seem too happy."  Grace informed me.

"I know." I shrugged. "And I don't care."

"You are going to prom though." Grace stated.

"No," I shook my head. "I'm not."

"Abbie--"

"I understand what you are all trying to do, thank you." I smiled. "But if I go, I'm gonna be forced to go and then neither I nor you will have fun."

Bella shook her head. "That's not true."

"It's okay guys." I smiled. "Seriously, please just let it go."

Grace and Bella sighed. "As you wish."

"Well hello there." Tyler appeared out of nowhere taking a seat next to Grace opposite me.

"You need to stop doing that." I told him.

"Doing what?"

"Appearing out of nowhere." I chuckled.

"Can we help you?" Bella asked.

Tyler shrugged shaking his head. "Not really."

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Can I not just come over to have a chat with you lovely ladies?" Tyler smiled.

Grace raised an eyebrow. "No?"

Tyler sighed. "I feel really rejected."

"Seriously Tyler, what are you here for?" Bella asked.

"Fine." Tyler rolled his eyes. "Just don't laugh at me."

"We can't promise anything." I told him.

He took a deep breathe before looking at me. "I heard you run."

I looked at him confused. "I do. Would you like to elaborate?"

"As you can see, I workout." Tyler smirked looking down at his body.

"Get to the point." Grace muttered.

"So rude." Tyler shook his head. "Any way, I workout but I'm not fit, as in stamina."

"And how does that relate to me?" I asked.

"I need a running buddy." He confessed.

I felt a sudden urge to burst out laughing, and had to bite it back with all my might. "A running buddy?"

Tyler nodded seriously. "See, I lack motivation, and maybe a running buddy would help me gain some."

All of us burst out laughing, but I quickly regained my seriousness and looked at Tyler. "Is that what all of this is about?"

Tyler nodded. "That's why I didn't come here with the guys, they would have laughed."

"Tyler--"

"So what do you say?" He asked.

I looked at the girls and they shrugged cluelessly. "Sure."

"Seriously?" Tyler grinned. "Can we start today?"
