I spent most of my time sleeping in this dark void, being lost in thoughts and all sensations. I didn't know how much time had passed but it felt like I had been sleeping for decades.
Then as all my wonders begin to fade away. Slowly, my eyes opened to see a white room, daylight shining through the glass window. I was in a nursery hospital from the looks of it. Looking over to my right, I saw Zack. Crossing his hands and feet, looking out the window.
I spoke out, "Zack...?"
Zack looked up at me, his frown turning into a smile, "Nathan? You're awake!"
"Y-Yeah..." I slowly sat up as a sudden headache made me cringe in pain, holding on to my forehead, "ugh...What happened?"
Zack chuckled, "you tripped and got a concussion while we were running back to the rest of the classmates."
"I tripped?"
"Yeah, even though I was worried about you, the way you tripped was really funny. You were running like heck then all of a sudden you fell down like a moron," he laughed a little then continued. "It almost seemed as if you fainted. Maybe you actually did faint but from my point of view, it seemed like a trip."
I fainted? How did my own reality transition so quickly into a dream?
I didn't get how that was even possible, to be able to quickly move from reality to a dream. From what I would have assumed at that time if someone were to transition from real life to a dream through fainting, I figured they would at least see a long lasting blackness before they begin to dream.
Zack waved in front of my eyes and stopped me from zoning out, he began to put on his jacket as he spoke, "yo, you alive? We should get going, you're lucky that there's a nursery building on this island and that the trip wasn't any worse. Can you walk?"
I moved my feet to the side of the hospital bed as I replied, "I think so..."
I slowly placed my feet on the ground and lifted myself up from the bed, my legs began to shake and I lost balance. Zack quickly caught me before I fell, "careful, you don't wanna get another concussion again now do you?"
I chuckled as I stood up straight for a little bit before taking my jacket and slipping on my shoes, "Zack, how long have I been asleep?"
He tilted his head back to look at me as he replied, "you've been out for like a quarter of an hour. We should get going, the school trips over so we'll be heading home ourselves."
"Damn, I'm sorry that I've been a bother to you. I didn't wanna ruin our trip."
Zack stopped and turned back at me, patting me on my shoulders, "please, don't say something like that. You think your life is less valuable than a school trip? I never really cared about this trip in the first place, I went because I wanted to hang out with you."
I smirked a little from Zack's statement. He was true to me, he never lied and was always on my side. There was no one who could ever replace him,"t-thanks man, I appreciate that."
"No problem, man. Hey, you wanna go to subway, I didn't get to eat anything cuz of you fainting." Zack gave a snarky smile with that rude remark.
I snickered, "Zack, you're such an ass."
And that was exactly what we did for the next few hours, we headed to Subway and ate there. Zack and I both would get Chicken Teriyaki, we would simply chat about random things and Zack would say some random jokes, as always.
As we chatted, I glanced over to my left hand, I saw a symbol with a Z and an Infinite merged together. Seeing that made me remember the dream I just had, I gasped as I thought to myself, 'it was real!' I interrupted Zack while he rambled about how cute seals were, "dude, dude. I'm sorry to cut you off like this but when did I get this mark on the back of my left hand?"
I showed the symbol to Zack but he didn't even take a good look at it, he took a simple glance and replied, "oh, that's your birthmark... Did you forget?"
"Birthmark? Since when was this my birthmark? How can tattoos like these be a birthmark? I never saw this symbol appear until now!"
"Dude, seriously? Ok ok, it wasn't a birthmark but you yourself chose to have that tattoo at a young age, never told me why aside from 'I felt like it.' I'm no expert in tattoos but I think that nowadays you can get tattoos at an early age by your own will and it doesn't affect your skin cells or blood in any way. Personally, I don't do it because I'd find myself looking too much like a-"
"Emo?" I finished his sentence.
Zack paused, cleared his throat then corrected, "Mobster or Gangsta. I find that wearing tattoos makes a person a little intimidating but in your case, it doesn't look too bad on you. Anyways, yeah that's why you have that tattoo."
I looked at Zack, absolutely confused.
"But... But that's bull!"
"Seriously? Did that concussion make you forget your past too or what?"
"Ugh, whatever!" I leaned back as I looked closely at the symbol, sighing, "I don't know..."
Since when did I get this tattoo? I thought to myself. Did I really lose my memories?
I review my dream in my head as Zack goes back to his ramblings. I then remember what the female said,
Meet us at September 21st if you wish to know the truth.
I didn't know if my dream was real or false but If I wanted to know the truth, I had to need to take my chances.

I will try to possibly publish the seventh chapter over this weekend but I'm not entirely sure if I'll be able to do it. Still, I shall try.
