There are many interpretations of what can be considered 'mad'.
Some say it's a disorder and others say it's a chaotic and irrational behavior.
Zack thought a little differently.
To him, madness was the defiance of reality and society.
'To see, believe, and do something you are not supposed to.'
In thinking so, he was free from the shambles of the world.
He did not find and embrace this definition, he constructed it.
He gave himself logic to what he did and it was this very reason that he became one of the most chaotic human beings that I had ever seen.
You already know the origin of his resolution, you already know that he fabricated his own reasoning, not embraced it.
Now, what remains is when did this ideology come to fruition? The Distant Storm Arc: Method to my Madness
"Ugh, this country has by far one of the worst weather I have ever seen! How the hell can it be snowing one day then raining the next?!?" Emily whined as a burst of flames shot out from her boots, pushing her upwards and leaping over to the next roof of the nightly lit building. The droplets of water spraying over her golden hair, weed green jacket, and olive green pants. She felt the force of her boots landing against the wet concrete as she absorbed the shock for a few seconds before standing back up.
She tried picking up on any lead that could find fake Zack or the Colorless, but she was devastated to find nothing of the sorts. She wondered, how? how could this be possible? What could it possibly be that is preventing me from finding Zack.
She continued walking over to the other side of the roof, trying to pick up on any negative energy. As Emily reached the ledge she stopped in her tracks as she felt something in front of her. She reached out her hand only to feel a restriction to reach further, her eyes widened as she realized what was in front of her. A barrier, a wall, preventing her progress.
"What...what the hell is this?" Emily felt a sting on her palm as she grunted then backed away from the barrier. She looked at her hand to see her whole hand covered in gray before slowly vanishing, she looked back at the invisible wall realizing that if she placed it any longer and she could've been severely hurt.
Something's not right, this is more than just a simple corruption of a Fake. Ever since Zack encountered the BruteWolf, things have been getting out of the ordinary...
Her eyes grew cold as her mind drifted away,
No...Everything has been out of the ordinary ever since Nathan became a CoDa. Just what the hell does his arrival mean for the change that is to come...and why does it feel like this change won't be a good one?

Among the crowd that cheered from the covers of tables and pillars, Johnny watched the two individuals fight. Impressed at how Zack, a mere teenage child, was able to stay alive for that long against someone like Edwin but astonished to witness something so supernatural in front of his eyes. Johnny believed in the idea of Blessed as he is one himself, but to witness a literal supernatural force interfere with a Blessing's death is a myth.
