Days flew by like a shooting star, all that ever happened during those two weeks were normal yet unfamiliar to me. Ever since that dream, I felt insecure, worried and angst about everything around me. Sometimes I would see something in the corner of my eye and when I would look back, it wasn't even there anymore.

I would hear mumbling voices that I would never be able to understand. I would be afraid to even go outside.

That was when the dream sequences came in. When I would sleep, dreams of flashing images would appear. All varying from images of broken concrete from buildings to chains wrapping around my limbs to blades piercing my chest to bullets being shot through my fingers. These dreams weren't necessarily nightmares but rather some kind of tutorials and slowly, I felt more secure again.

Some kind of confidence built inside of me that made me pay no mind to these figures at the corner of my eye or the mumbling voices, it all became strangely natural to me.

Eventually the day I was promised to find the truth came. This was the day where I was told to meet up with these people to find out the truth. I knew this wasn't something fake or a hallucination. This was real, it had to be...

Laying in bed, I waited until the decided time to get to Wavrinskys (Vav-Rin-Skis) which was at 17:00 PM. I didn't feel like being on my computer or watching Holo-Vision. I continue reading Girl of Nightmares as I was almost finished.

Many thoughts went through my mind, many questions that I had been waiting to have answered. As the time hit 17 PM, I began to wear my outdoor clothes and walk downstairs.

"Uncle Kello, like I've said, I'm heading out to Zack's house now." I wore my coat and boots then I reached for the door handle but my uncle stopped me.

"Wait, Nathan! You forgot something."

I turned around to see what my uncle had.

"Huh?" Kello handed over his Holographic Watch then smiled.

"If you need any help or something bad happens, you know what to do."

I chuckled, then wore the watch around my wrist.

"You're as over-protective as ever, Uncle."

"What can I say, your parents told me to take good care of you. Even if you're in high school, you're still 15 years old."

"I know, I know. I appreciate your hospitality as always."I gave him a hug before heading out into the nightly rain, waving as I went.

Going downhill, I reached the bus stop and traveled to Wavrinskys. I had always appreciated the rain in Sweden, It was typical to rain a lot but I liked it. Mostly because of the petrichor emanating from the rain, it makes me feel calm and relaxed. Most importantly, I liked it when it rains at night. It's a great combo of beauty in the night and relaxation of the rain.

After 15 mins of traveling on a bus and listening to music, I got off at Wavrinskys bus stop, the place that the humanoid figures told me to meet at. The rain drizzled as I waited at the stops. They didn't give me details on what time or where in Wavrinskys so I decided to wait at the tree near the bus stop.

Checking my watch from time to time, I would watch how long I waited.

5 minutes...

8 Minutes...

11 Minutes...

13 Minutes...

Sighing I stopped leaning on the tree trunk and started heading somewhere else in Wavrinskys to see if I might have missed something. There must have been something to tell me where to go, walking down the gloomy street, I kept an eye out for anything.

Then I heard it, a familiar voice.

So you wish to know the truth...Hmm?

I frantically looked around seeing where this voice came from but no one was around.

I mumbled out, "Who are you?"

She spoke again, but this time it was much clearer, this voice was in my head.

Do you wish to know the truth? I paused, thinking then confessed, "Yes...Yes, I want to know the truth."

Welcome, my fellow CoDa.

Everything blacked out as I heard her voice, it was dark for a while before I became conscious again. I groaned as I look around my area. The rain still sprayed on my face and jacket as I got up. The sky was cloudy and dark like I remembered it when I fell unconscious. The area I was in seemed to be a rooftop of a building.

I looked over to my left to see a girl, she wore a glowing neon hooded jacket and headphones. Her hair was...golden blonde, just like my dream. She looked over at the city from the building rooftop. Perhaps marveling at the view.

She tilted her head towards me as I got up from where I laid. She then spoke, turning away to look at the view once more, "hello there, Nathan. How was your sleep?"

I looked at her confused and walked closer, "h-how do you know my name?"

She looked at me and bluntly said without hesitation, "I can read your mind, that's why."

I didn't know what to say to her but I thought it was a joke, I started thinking of random thoughts just to mess see if she could read them.

"You're thinking about a joke revolving the muffin man which Zack told you about then you thought about the color of the apples and then about your school assignment then you're wondering if the earth is flat or not and now you are wondering why I can't read your mind." She saw through me completely.

I gasped, backed away as I replied, "What the...mind reading?"

She cuts me off, "Yes, Nathan. I can know about your past, your personality and your darkest secrets if I wanted to."

My eyes stretched in shock and disbelief. What kind of dark secrets do I have in the first place?

She then slightly smiled, "nah, I'm joking, I don't go into people's personal life unless it's absolutely necessary."

I asked in confusion, "so you CAN read minds? This isn't a dream or something?"

She chuckled as she replied, "of course, Nathan. I think you knew deep down that everything you experienced so far is a reality. This isn't some kind of dream, it never was, I can guarantee that."

Exhaling, I spoke once again, "then, I need some answers, you said you would tell the truth, didn't you?"

The blonde girl began to walk over to the door that accessed the stairs of this building. "You can ask questions later but for now, let's just head to HQ. You'll get some answers there." She began heading downstairs.

I reached out my hand and spoke in hesitation, "wai-...damn." Sighing, I followed her downstairs to this 'HQ' that she has mentioned.
