“You took them you little piece of shit” before I knew it his fist collided with my face.
“Nathan!” Lilly screamed
I almost fell back but balanced myself.
“calm down!” Joel stood in between us “what are you on about George?”
“He stole Jessie’s meds. I know it!”
He screamed.
Jessie I met her she is 8. Must be his daughter.
“Look mate I didn’t steal the meds.” I said trying to stay calm.
“George he said he didn’t steal them.” Joel said
“Bet he stole them to get buzzed or something.” He said “look through his stuff then!”
“Fine but i didn’t steal them!” I said
I handed Joel my bag as he looked through it.
He looked through my bag and after a few minutes he looked up at me shocked and I saw him take out an orange bottle
“See I told you!” George yelled. Coming towards me. Joel stopped him.
“I didn’t steal them” I said
“Nathan.. they were in your bag” Joel looked to me
“I was gone for hours! Someone must have put them there!” I said pleading my case
“Yeah right”George said trying to push back Joel.
“Look the meds are still here… no harm done .. OK George” Joel responded
George looked at me like he might actually kill me.
“Fine but if I ever catch you again… you will have me to deal with!” George snatched the pills from George and walked away.
I sighed and sat next down next to lilly. Joel walked off.
“Are you okay?” Lilly asked
I nodded. “You believe me right?”
She ran her fingers through my hair and smiled “of coarse”
