Chapter 17: Funny That I Don't Believe You

Lauren closed her eyes and took a deep breath. My heart sank to my stomach when I heard these next words come out of her mouth.

"This song is called I Don't Believe You."

I began to tap my foot anxiously. Lauren looked at the crowd and started to sing.

The crowd stayed silent, I'm guessing that they didn't know whether to cheer or cry. I gave Lauren a sad smile which she reciprocated.

"I love you." Lauren whispered as she walked past me. I tried my best to keep a straight face but I couldn't. I smiled and looked down at my shoes. I could hear people arguing so I walked on stage.

"I've got a song for you. I'm taking a risk here because I just came up with it at the top of my head. So can you please settle down?" I put on a fake smile and the crowd quieted down.

It's so easy to lose all the meaning of who you are

"I'm sorry if I have disappointed any of my fans, I didn't mean too but then again, my life is my own business. Don't let my personal life affect my music. Just please keep that in mind." I quickly ran off stage, dodging a few items that were flinged at me. Shay hit the back of my head and I glared at her.

"You're such an idiot. I wish one of the books they threw actually hit you." Shay furrowed her eyebrows and watched as Dinah angrily charged towards me. I winked at Shay and she stepped back.

"If I hurt you, I'm sorry." Dinah whispered, she pushed me on stage and I stumbled back, falling to the floor. My fans gasped while Harmonizers cheered. Dinah pulled me up and lifted me off the ground by the collar of my shirt.

"Do you know how much sleep Lauren has gotten? Do you know how much you've hurt her? She hasn't even gotten sleep because every time she closes her eyes she thinks about you. Lauren has been crying her eyes out all day long while you just sit back and watch. She loves you and you just randomly cut her off without any reason! I'm only going to say this once so heed my words. Y/N if you ever step foot into our tour bus or if you ever get near Lauren, I will not hesitate to kick your ass. Got it?" Even though Dinah didn't have a microphone, I'm pretty sure half of the crowd could hear her. I got out of her grip and shoved her back.

"This is between me and Lauren, you have no reason to get involved." I tried to sound intimidating but my voice was shaking. Dinah slapped me but I wasn't really affected by it. I clenched my jaw and pushed past her but before I could walk off stage she pulled me back.

"I have every right to get involved. Lauren is like a sister to me, you mess with her, you mess with the whole group." Dinah turned around and walked off stage. I felt something collide with my stomach, knocking out all of my air. I put my hands on my knees and tried catching my breath. I slowly walked off stage and walked down the empty hallway. While I was walking someone grabbed my arm and pulled me into a dark room.
