Dear Diary,
It's 11:58pm and we're sat in our hotel (I'm surprised we even managed to find one that's open). I'm sat in the window watching the snow and it looks beautiful. I haven't been to Birmingham for so long but it looks incredible from where I'm sat.
Phil and I brought a few of Dil's Christmas presents with us for him to open in the morning so he still gets to experience some of the magic of Christmas. I feel sorry for him - he has no idea what's going on. However, I'm determined not to let anything ruin this for any of us. We will still have an amazing Christmas as a three, regardless of whatever else is happening.
I can hear the clock chiming midnight..
