At 9:30 I wrote my parents a note telling them I was going out with friends and went to meet the boys. Toby tossed me the keys as we went to climb in the truck.

When I turned on the car beautiful violin music poured through the speakers.

Toby mumbled something about his sister borrowing the car and changed the station. He then proceeded to tell me how to drive.

"Do you think I'm an idiot?? I know how to put the car in drive!" I yelled.

Toby glared at me. "The plans changed so we aren't going to Panama City."

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Blake's girlfriends house."

"Who's the girl?" I asked curiously, turning my head to look at him.

"Oh my god! Stay on the freaking road!" He yelled jerking the steering wheel.

"Don't yell at me!" I yelled back.

Toby started cussing again.

"What did I say about cussing?!" I yelled shaking my finger in his face.

"Put both hands on the wheel!" He yelled clutching the seat.

"Fine!" I yelled back and placed both hands on the wheel.

Toby grabbed a beer and chugged it.

"Are you trying to drink yourself into a stupor?!" I half yelled.

"Eyes on the road!" He yelled back.

I glued my eyes on the road and we drove in silence for a few minutes. The silence was broken only when Toby was giving me directions.

Suddenly I recognized the neighborhood we were in. "Are we going to Britney Hastings house?" This could not be happening..

"Yeah. Do you know her?" He turned towards me with interest.

"Yeah... We grew up together." Then Britney went crazy and we stopped hanging out... This was going to be awkward.

Toby smiled. "Let me guess. You were friends when you were little then she became wild and you remained the perfect little rich girl. Am I right?" He smirked at the look on my face.

I refused to answer that because he was right and I was not about to admit it! He was really starting to get on my nerves. I almost smacked the smirk right off his face!

Instead I parked the car and got out. I followed Toby and Blake, who had been suspiciously quiet the whole ride, into the house.

We went into the giant livingroom where about thirty teenagers were milling around, talking and drinking.

At first I didn't recognize anyone. Then a familiar voice said my name.

"Hey Britt." I said turning to face her.

"Hey babe!" Blake drunkenly kissed Britt.

"I see you've already had a drink." She smiled wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Yeah he's had a few." I rolled my eyes bring Britt's attention back to me.

"So Eliana. I didn't know you were the partying type." She said.

"Well.. I'm not exactly. I'm just trying to prove a point." I said. "Toby thinks I'm just a perfect, spoiled, rich girl and I'm trying to prove him wrong."

"How's that working for you?" She laughed.

"Great.." I rolled my eyes.

"Mmkay." Britt muttered kissing Blake again.

"See you later." Toby waved walking towards the kitchen.

"Toby wait!" I exclaimed but he ignored me.

I looked around but Blake and Britt had also left. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a dark haired girl heading towards me.

"Hey. You must be new." The girl said.

"Yeah. I'm Eliana." I said relieved to not be standing alone.

"I'm Kayla. I can introduce you to my friends if you want." She offered.

"Thanks. That'd be great." I smiled and followed her to a group sitting in the corner. Toby joined them just as we reached them.

"So," Kayla said. "This is Joey, Casey, Sandra, and Nora. I believe you already know Toby. Guys, this is Eliana."

"Hey." I said uncomfortably. From the looks of them, I was nothing like these people.

Joey is a chubby guy with ebony skin, a big nose, and squinty eyes. Sounds normal? Well he has his lip and his eyebrow pierced. He also reeks of cigarettes.

Casey is a slight girl with rainbow colored hair. Besides the hair she looks average.

Sandra has a colorful sleeve made out of roses on her left arm. Her hair is cut in a stylish pixie cut and she has a lisp that gets really annoying after a while.

Nora has shoulder length, brown  ombré hair. Her red dress hugged her body tightly and a small diamond sparkled on her nose.

Kayla was the most normal looking girl in the group. Except for her obviously fake boobs, she was no different than the other girls I know.

The one who stood out the most was Toby. His dark skin made is light blue eyes stand out sharply. He looked so ordinary in khaki shorts and a ball cap. But I must admit he looked hotter than every other guy there.

"So what happened to your ankle?" Sandra lisped.

"It's kinda a long story." I glanced at Toby. I really hope he doesn't tell it..

"We've got time." Nora leaned in closer.

"Yeah. We love a good story!" Casey said pushing a strand of purple hair out of her face.

"I'll tell you." Toby smiled.
