Golden rays shining through the window as I hold the cover over my head. Ruffling coming from the opposite side of the bed cues Levi's pestering soon to come so I wait a small smile painted upon my lips. I wait.. wait and wait.
Nothing.
Rolling over to meet with a wide awake but very calm Levi.
"About fucking time." Levi huffs
Rolling my eyes and pulling myself to the edge of the bed I stare out the big bay window.
"Did you hear ?" Levi asks pulling clothes out of his wardrobe.
"Yeah I heard." I answer, not taking my eyes off of the morning sky
"Listen, we don't have to -"
"It's been four years, I'm fine with it." Cutting Levi off before leaving the room to get his morning tea.
Last night, sitting in the mess hall talking to Sasha about some senseless girl chatter Mikasa walked up to us. Holding something behind her back with that fucking smile as if she knows something you don't know.
"Eren wanted me to give you this." Handing me a cream colored envelope and turning on a heel.
Scooting closer to me to read the card Sasha gasps.
There it is, written in fancy fucking letters.
"You are congenitally invited to the wedding of Eren Jaeger and Mikasa Ackerman. Celebrate this special day as two people become one family."
"I was more than positive you and the captain would be married far before Eren and Mikasa." Sasha whispers
"Levi doesn't really see himself married." Looking down at the card the pain in my heart stings, not for Eren but because I never realized I kind of ... maybe ... possibly want to be married
Placing the steaming cup on a small dish I let out a small sigh half still in my past day dream.
"Hey."
Turning around, cup in hand I come face to face with Eren as he shoves his hands in his pockets
"Hi." I say in the most bored tone I could conjure up
"I, um, I hope to see you there, you know at the -"
"Yeah, no."
"What ? Why ?" Eren's eyes widen
"You're really asking me that Eren ?"
"It's Levi .." Eren states more than asks
"Nope." I answer popping the p
"So what ?"
"How about you cheated on me for god knows how long, I'm over it Eren and now you expect me to show my respect at your wedding ?" My voice cracking
"I would just like to think all my friends would be there."
"And they will."
"Except you."
