The day when a baby is born is supposed to be the happiest day of everyone's life.

It's the day when husbands and wives become fathers and mothers. It's the day when the only child becomes the oldest child, the protecter of the younger one.

It's the day when happy tears are shed. It's the day when you realize that your entire life changes. It's the day you realize that no matter what your child is or will become, you will accept them because you want them to be happy.

There are families that refuse to accept their child for being who they want to be. They get ridiculed by their own flesh and blood for being who they want be. They get shamed for what they like. They say they love their child when in reality...

They can't stand the fact that they are different.

A beautifully breathtaking and intelligent Beta who goes by Nel Grassi let out a deep breath when she felt another contraction hit. She smiled when she saw Mike, her husband and Alpha. He smiled back ans walked up to her, squeezing her hand gently.

"Our son is going to be an amazing Alpha," Mike commented in delight. Nel nodded as another contraction hit. "He will be strong and confident. I just hope he doesn't find an Omega."

Nel nodded as she took another deep breath. You see, the Grassis are made up of Alphas and Betas. Nel's family only consisted of Betas. Both families despised Omegas. They thought that they had no help, that they were useless. The Grassis prayed for the youngest Grassi to not be an Omega or even be one's Mate. They hoped for the best. Their daughter Jessa is a Beta so they really do want their son to be an Alpha.

"Ah, Nel," a doctor commented in a nice voice. She looked at Nel's bottom half and smiled. "Well, it looks like the baby is coming! Ready to push?"

Nel nodded as she grabbed Mike's hand. She has read many books about this. She knew how to go through the entire pregnancy without hurting herself or others. A few minutes passed and after a few minutes of pushing, a baby began to cry.

"It's a boy," the doctor exclaimed, handing the baby to the mother. She then took out her clipboard, clicking her pen. "It's time to seen if he is an Alpha, Beta, or Omega! He just needs to open his eyes."

"Come on, Mitchell Coby Michael," Mike whispered and the doctor wrote down the name quickly. The baby will open his eyes in no time. "Open those eyes. I want to see red!"

It took a few minutes, but the baby opened his eyes. Mike and Nel both gasped, making the doctor look up.

"What?" She asked frantically, looking at the family. They didn't make a move. "What's the matter?"

"This...this has to be a mistake," Nel answered, looking down at him. He closed his eyes and opened them, revealing his regular eye color; a brown color that would remind one of chocolate chip cookies during autumn. "Mike, how can this happen?!"

"I don't know," Mike answered, shaking his head at his youngest child. His eyes turned red, signaling his anger. "Why did this happen to us?"

The reason why they are angry? They are angry because the son they have been wanting for for so long...

Is an Omega.
